Turbo Tax is very easy for even first timers or those whose been filing for years!
What's great about it: Makes everything easy when I don't have to put the same information from last year when everything is still the same!

totally took it to the max

I have used turbo tax for years and overall I think it is a good program. Having deductions and charity donations work well with this program.
What's great about it: it went though everything and gave me best option
What's not so great: had trouble understanding some of the Rita form and certain deductions.

Used it so long I forget how many years

The only thing I've noticed year after year is the portions where the program helps you review either your income or deductions. After you complete a section it takes you back to the top of the review page where you then have to scroll down to find the "continue to next section" radio button. Why not just have it return to the bottom of the page instead of requiring the user to scroll each time.
Other than that, I keep coming back because it's easy to use and I'm confident about the results.
What's great about it: Easy and straight forward
What's not so great: Slightly clunky in the step by step portions

Robot CPA

Been using TT since 2007. Better than any CPA I have ever used. Plus, it explains things better than CPAs as well.
What's great about it: Love the tips and explanations
What's not so great: AMT hard to calculate
Pros: I moved, I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very Easy -- seemed too easy!

The only part of the return process I didn't like was that I could not figure out why it would not give me anything back for over $3222 of mortgage interest, and $1680 in property taxes. I checked the form over and over and the amounts were listed - but this year it gave me no points? The bad news, and that I could not get a more clear explanation towards the end of the review of why I did not qualify for points. Maybe I missed something.
What's great about it: Most everything is so easy to understand
What's not so great: I didn't get back more! ;-)
