Easy Filing

I am a long time user of Turbo Tax .
I return each year because of the simplicity of the product.
Everything is laid out for you in simple to understand language.

What's great about it: You are lead thru the tax filing process with easy to understand language .
What's not so great: You have to wait for the loading of the product.

Transfer of 2013 return

I followed all instructions several times. I could open my 2013 return, but the 2014 TurboTax program did not see my 2013 return. Therefore, I manually transferred my return.

Overall a smooth and easy experience. Year to year transfer of information is slick. Relax with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Smooth and easy filling state & fed tax forms.
What's not so great: Electronic processing fees are high.

Easy

I had no problem navigating though the sections required for preparation of my return and filing it electronically. Although I used Turbo Tax in the past, this was the first year I filed my Federal Return electronically. One thing was confusing about the direct deposit steps. First, it said to use the routing number from your checks, the it said that using the check routing number may be a problem for Bank of America direct deposits (my bank is Bank of America). I have used the routing number on my checks numerous times for direct deposits, including for my 2013 tax refund, an not had any problem.
What's great about it: Easy to use, logically walked through everything
What's not so great: Sometimes unnecessarily repeated sections following coming back to the file for my return after saving it.

excellent customer service

i had to use an older laptop this year, and had difficulty launching the program from my CD. The customer service agent spent well over an hour with me -- walking me through removal of the copy that wasn't working, reconfiguring and updating programs and settings, and finally downloading the fix and starting the program. It was a tedious and long process, and I really appreciated the assistance. I coiuld not have done it on my own.

2014 Tax Experience

I had a great deal of difficulty getting my user ID and email ID information tied out. I spent over 5 hrs with your security support team resolving my issues. All is OK now, but it was arduous to complete!
What's great about it: Create State tax forms so seamlessly
What's not so great: Had to redo submission based on state underpayment. TT did not catch this prior to my eFiling selection.

Turbo Tax Deluxe

This is a great product. I have used them for years but the last 4 to 5 years I probably could have used the free version but bought the deluxe version out of habit. It allows me to see if I am getting all of the deductions I am due. Like it a lot!
What's great about it: Very easy to understand and follow. I like the step by step trail to follow.
What's not so great: None noted
