Filing with TurboTax was about as easy as using an accounting firm. You collect all your records, do the interview, and that's it; they figure out what goes on which line. The main difference is that the accountant will usually mention things you could do to improve your situation for next year; I didn't notice much of that with TurboTax. But it's much cheaper!
What's great about it: Easy to do with little or no prior knowledge.
What's not so great: Nothing I really disliked.

Best Tax Software I've Used

I first tested TurboTax in 1993 before I retired to compare with my account's tax preparation. Needless to say my liability was the same. Then upon retirement from business I use TurboTax for our personal taxes. Been extremely satisfied.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None

The Money Saver

Turbo tax is great! Maybe the easy way out of a painful put off! I have more faith in it than I do the people we pay big bucks too to do our taxes. And if you don't have the extra $$ to lay out to do your taxes well this is easy. Plus you can do it in your underware and no one can see your little ducks printed on them. HA! HA!
Sure there maybe things you miss but, with the walk through and all there could be even more missed with a regular tax preparer. I love it and what I don't miss wont really hurt me.

What's great about it: can do it from the comfort of your home, no one else can take your money for what you have worked hard for.
What's not so great: maybe not getting all you can get back but, if you don't know then you don't miss

Have been a turbotax user for many year and really like doing my taxes with this product. It makes doing my taxes so easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very complete
What's not so great: sometimes get an error that requires an explanation such as on form 1116 and don't know what to put as answer.

I'm a recent widow. My hubby always did the taxes via Turbotax. So, it was my first time really ever doing them. It went pretty well :)

What's great about it: Up to the above , was clear instruction helpfull

Great, Reliable Product!

I've used TurboTax for over ten years and feel very comfortable using it. It makes asking questions very easy. I plan to continue using it.
What's great about it: It walks you through every step.
What's not so great: Nothing that makes me nuts.
