Totally Dissatisfied

Your software on Virginia Long Term Care (LTC) puts you in a doo-loop that eventually won't let you file the return.. either federal or state. If you answer all the questions accurately Turbo Tax says here's your deduction but when you go for a final check it says "we need more info" and then shows the forms with the actual date purchased. You have to lie to the system and say I have no LTC or erase the purchase date to allow the return to be filed. This is very poor software testing & control.
What's not so great: Software hangups in how to treat Virginia Long Term Care given a cutoff date; Non-existent customer service.

Great Product

Turbo Tax this year is much better than last year. Last year some confusion. This year very smooth. I have used turbotax for many many years and always satisfied with end result.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: a little hard to go back without going ALL the way back.

Good, But Somewhat Confusing

Information on e-filingPin, and AGI was not really clear about matching IRS prior year information. We have received two rejection codes. If the third filing is not accepted then we will have to file by mail. This will extend reimbursement and defeat the purpose of electronic filing using Turbo Tax. You said to be honest and that is what I am doing. We have used Turbox Tax before without any problems.
What's not so great: Information on error codes (e-filing Pin and AGI confusing.

I really enjoy using Turbo Tax. I look forward every year to use Turbo Tax and its updates. It helps me to know that I someone on the other side that's guiding me through this process. I will continue to us Turbo Tax.

What's great about it: Easy to glide through to the next step.
What's not so great: Sometime questions can be confusing, but manage to get to the next step.

that was easy

Used turbo tax on a difficult tax year with lots of educational and professional expenses and was able to easily navigate trough my taxes and get a nice refund.
What's great about it: help through difficult taxes and multiple tax situations
What's not so great: takes a while
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not the Old Turbotax

I had no trouble filling in the forms, using Turbotax's walk through. Then came time to file...and the headaches began. Cannot E-file. I've E-filed with Turbotax ever since it became an option, but not this year. It would not give me an option to E-file and forced me to mail my return.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to prepare forms
What's not so great: No longer able to E-file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
