TT Pretty Much User Friendly & Easy to Use

Have used TT for 14 years. Updates are easy, user friendly on teh most part and has excellent links to review what specific entries are to be used for and why.
What's great about it: Goes through everything step-by-step
What's not so great: Very Hard to Change HOH Status When Child Not Dependent

Over the Years

Reirement 401K Plan to Trad IRA should be an option rather than me search about it
ADD it along with the current option: transferring it to a ROTH IRA?
What's great about it: I've seen a better flow of information over the years using Deluxe TT
What's not so great: Anxiety raised because I didn't see any option listed for rolling over an old 401kPlan into a Trad IRA.

Intuit/turbo tax changes

Call the upgraded program Deluxe like you used to, calling it "Deductions and Homeowners" with Deluxe written below it was a bit confusing until you looked at the back of the package...
What's great about it: same simple tax processing
What's not so great: Paying for my own state return this go round, before you got one free state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Its always a pain to see which credits everyone has received, having 3 people in house in college. Must be a way to be tracked ?

What's great about it: As a young adult with limited tax filing experience, I appreciate TurboTax's straight-forward approach to filing!

I used to love this tool.

529 accounts are supposed to be tax free when the proceeds go straight to the school, are only used to pay tuition and fees. and there are now excess funds withdrawn. Because I skipped this section when first filling everything else out, the Q&A didn't seem to work correctly and tried to call all the proceeds as Other Income. Had to completely start over. What a waist of time.
Also, I'm filing via paper for the first time in years. Based on all your bad publicity - I don't have any faith in your security measures.
What's not so great: You guys need to work on the whole 1099-Q & 1098-T section. Terribly confusing - just read all the questions & answers.
