it doesn't take a rocket scientist to do your own

I never thought I could do my own taxes with all the different forms. well I was shown that it was a lot easier than I feared. I will continue using turbo tax until I am done paying taxes. sientest
What's great about it: how it guided me through all the different questions
What's not so great: some questions didnt have enough info to help me answer the question
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Excellent Work TurboTax

Super easy to use. Step by step instructions that are so easy to follow that a first time user would have no problem using TurboTax to file their taxes. I have been using it for many years and each year I am an even more satisfied customer.

2014 Tax Returns

I was really hesitant to do the tax returns myself this year due to many different circumstances, multiple earned income sources and multiple retirement income sources, and multiple States to pay taxes to.
Since I already had the turbo-tax software, I decided to try it. A good decision, it all worked smoothly and accurately. I'm very satisfied with my results and seriously doubt that any "Tax Professional" could have done any better.

Couldn't be easier to file your taxes! You CAN'T make a mistake. And even if you THINK you've messed up somewhere along the line, the program checks and rechecks your work, making it impossible for you to send out an incomplete or incorrect filing.

Peace of Mind Achieved

Love the way that TurboTax guides me through each step for all of my income and the itemized deductions. Importing my info made the process a breeze. I love reading the "Learn More" links - the info is really helpful in increasing my understanding of what each line is asking. It's also great to have additional education to learn how to maximize my refund for the future. I also appreciate how TurboTax categorizes by common and uncommon items. The Amazon e-card feature was an added pleasant surprise this year. And of course, the best part of TurboTax every year is the option to e-file and to get my refund direct deposited with a quickness.
I was a bit worried about filing my taxes this year because my situation is a bit different as compared with previous years; however, TurboTax gave me ease of use and peace of mind.
What's great about it: Internet Download version was awesome!
What's not so great: Online version wouldn't allow us to file due to error - attempted suggested resolutions, which did not work for us

Makes the Good Life Easier

Having been a TurboTax user since it was MacInTax I have enjoyed the simplicity it provides for preparing my taxes. I know that there will be NO dumb math errors. I also like the "It's Deductable" feature for determining the value of my non-cash donations. With all this being said, I have more time to enjoy the good life.

Very Poor Performance 2014

This year, Turbo Tax performance has been extremely poor. There was an issue with filing the non-resident New York state return that we reported to Turbo tax weeks ago that has not been corrected as of this date and we are now forced to file the return (paper copy) without the fix.
Specifically, we received an error message when reviewing the NY state return that inidcated one of the forms (IT-203) had a line on it that had too many characters but there was no way to correct the issue.
This is a totally unacceptable performance level. We should not have to pay for Turbo tax this year and we believe a full refund is in order. This is especially true given the fact that we reported the issue and then waited two weeks for an update that still has not come.
What's not so great: Lots of programming issues that have not ben resolved as of the time of our filing
