2014 FED TAX

I used the tax software to file my federal and state tax return. The process was fast and easy. I found information about my state taxes I did not know. I used this information to get a state refund. I am happy. :)

Good all-around

An additional thing I didn't like is when I tried to enter our newborn as a potential dependent in one of the steps, it didn't recognize that she was born in the filing year (2015), even though I had to enter the birthdate. It should have recognized this, told me that I couldn't enter her, and deleted the dependent worksheet. When I got to the end, it was flagging this problem, but again it didn't taken any action other than continually saying something like 'birthdate can't be later than last year'. It was like it was stuck in a loop and couldn't take the action it should have to delete the dependent worksheet and move me past this point.
What's great about it: Don't have to worry about forms and thinking too much about whether you're doing it correctly
What's not so great: A little long and wordy. They need to make each question/section shorter and to the point.
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

First you told me the state return would be free, then you proceeded to charge me. Then after charging my credit card, you tell me that the Employer ID number cannot be e-filed, although you were able to do an import fro ADP. What is going on. I have used this software for years without any of these issues.

Living in a foreign country

I was concerned TurboTax would not be able to help me as I live permanently outside the U.S. Hurrah! It was so easy and asked all the right questions, and linked to the right IRS documents. Thanks again TurboTax, you are my go-to at tax time!

Not Painfull at All

This program was very easy to use. The data utilized was reliable and easy to access. The definitions were clear and concise. Every entry was clearly identified in relation to the topic. I liked that at the end of a category, I was given the opportunity to review what had been entered. The program also gave me the opportunity to finish my filing at my convience, I will certainly buy this product next year.
What's great about it: easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: when going back using toolbar info did not save, as it does when going "back"

Awesome Refund!

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years now and am very comfortable and happy overall with this software. However, this year I am a bit disappointed. There were too many questions that were asked, with no place to find the meaning or answers to the questions. I also don't like that you can't print a page without having to print the entire return. I have commented on this for several years now, and this still remains an issue. I will continue to use Turbo Tax next year with the hopes that the afore mentioned bugs get fixed. If I find that they have not, I will be forced to use another tax software in the future.
What's great about it: Thorough Review of Tax Questions
What's not so great: Unclear Questions with no where to find the answers

Need ability to combine or clone returns.

Each year I have to prepare a return for me and one for my wife as "Married filing separately" Then I have to do it all over again as "Married filing jointly" It varies from year to year as to which way provides a better result. A feature to combine two single returns into one joint return would be very helpful. I would even pay extra for it. If you can't do that, a way to clone one of the returns would reduce the work required by almost 1/2.
