Have used Turbo Tax for about 5 years now, not interested in trying any other software. Who would have thought I could do it myself.... It takes me a long time but I read through everything to feel confident before sending off my return. Turbo Tax has been a pleasant experience for me.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Whew....Got It Done!!

We own our modest home, and have 401K & IRA investments, but I refuse to pay someone to due our taxes; I'm confident they are not complicated enough!! I appreciate that Turbo Tax walks us through each step.
I typically take the path where they ask me lots of questions that do not pertain to our situation.....because sometimes the questions 'spark a thought that might be important......
Sometimes they ask questions that could be answered two different ways (Is the freshman student in his second year of higher education on January 10th, 2014?) I could have just gone on to the 'next screen to see why they were asking. As it was, I took 90 minutes trying to answer that question.
That was the only hang-up this year.......
What's great about it: Provided confidence, every step of the way.....
What's not so great: It's still intimidating.....It's the IRS.

When you are at the end and getting ready to review the return for errors and such, it tends to keep looping over and over again. You have to click to Filing in order to get it out of the loop. It tends to get annoying.
What's great about it: It is very easy and I love the guides

Not as good as other years

Keep repeating lets review state,
After update, did not restart turbotax like it was supposed to.
Not what I expect form Turbotax.
What's great about it: found my old info
What's not so great: Did not go where it said it was going to.

Disappointed with Turbo Tax

I truly like the product and have purchased it for year. This year like I always do, purchased it and only later did I find that Turbo Tax removed function.
What's great about it: I always use this and have really like the product

I have used Turbo Tax now for six years. I love how it looks at last years return and saves me all that typing. That in it self is a good check to make sure I got all my deductions.
What's great about it: Just answer the questions Pretty simple If there is a question you can go to the help section and get an explainatio
What's not so great: You still have to do a tax return It's not automatic
