Easy to use.

Have used other programs in the past. They were not as clear or easy to use as Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy step by step process.
What's not so great: Explanations were not always clear.

I use Turbo Tax because of the easy guide that leads me step-by-step.
What's great about it: Easy prompts to follow
What's not so great: Ordering Turbo Tax software online line costs more than buying it in a store ... :-(

TurboTax is the answer to whatever it is that the IRS throws at the U.S. public, both to the experienced computer user as well as to the tyro who can barely open his (or her) e-mail. You have made preparation of my income tax return a fun project!

Have used this product for several years with great success! Guides you through step by step!
What's great about it: Easy to use! Covers every deduction and credit you could think of.
What's not so great: Don't like the fact that you have to pay for your state e-file!

On the fence...

Trying to go back and add Direct Deposit info... had to go to the form and insert to get to location. I'm now trying to find my state return to be able to do the same thing. Overall, I'm sure it's me that isn't seeing it...

Easier Every Year!

Really easy to use and it seems like every year gets easier, remembers everything from last year and reminds you about it - just in case you forget! We forgot about a donation we made and Turbo Tax helped us remember - saving us more than the purchase price of the software! Thank you!
What's great about it: Transfers information from prior year
What's not so great: Asks a lot of questions - but that's probably more of a "pro" than a "con"!

I have two dependent sons in college. I also filed a tax return for my one son because he made over $4000.00. My sons return was accepted but mine was not. I don't think either return should be accepted until the matter is resolved. I don't know how to fix his return.
What's not so great: Not clear on how or when to file a dependent return
