Good drive, questions on speed

Good, quiet drive. Plays movies (DVD and BD) flawlessly, provided they're in good condition. Discs with errors seem to cause the drive to have serious performance problems in some cases and others have no issue. InfraRecorder cd burning program consistently reports DMA speed too low to burn at rated speed. The drive is plugged into a SATA 2.0 port on a Windows Vista 64-bit desktop. Have not yet tried to burn a bluray disc.

Easy To Install

After reading the specifications and features on the box, I decided that this is exactly what I needed to upgrade my computer. I purchased the drive (even though I thought it was a bit expensive, this was the only internal Blu-ray drive that was available in the store) and easily installed it into my computer bay. Unfortunately, I discovered that my computer did not have an SATA input, so I had to return it to the store. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have satified my needs.

Works extreamley well. Records in a timely manner. The price I paid was very reasonable for this quality product. I wish all the computer products I have puchased were this good. I use Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 Bit on a computer I built with an Intel i7 CPU.

I plugged this drive in and it worked immediately, I have tried different disk manufacturers with out any issues. This is an excellent optical / Blu-ray drive.
