Not your average microwave.

We installed this microwave about 2 months ago after our last one fried & so far we like it very much. In the store they told us that we could defrost a roast in here & it would not be gray, we we haven't done a roast yet but we have defrosted ground beef & chicken & miscellaneous foods & they do come out perfect & not gray or half cooked! Reheating using the automatic controls works very well, items are evenly heated & not melted plastic on the outside edges. And as for just heating something up, it is very quick & powerful. Love the clean release coating on the inside. Just wish they could make an over the range microwave slitghtly smaller, they seem to be getting bigger. But overall we do like the microwave very much. A user manual would be nice to have as this has so many options it would be nice to know how to use the microwave correctly.

cracked doors

My reveiw of this product is very poor would not recomend to anyone. Bought first one with home when it was built in july of 2010. Replaced 4 doors on it all with the same thing cracks along the glass and plastic. whirlpool replaced it in in August 2011 with a new one and now it has had the same problem it has had three doors in a 6 month time. We are done with the product getting some thing else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing But Problems

I have had numerous service calls on this model of microwave. I'm going to the third attempt to have a working microwave for anywhere from three months to just under a year. Yes I have had a replacement and it broke also. Now going for a third attempt and hope to try a different model. Numerous parts replaced, curcuit board, magnatron, Inverter, etc. Too many problems to list. My builder put this model in and it has been a frustrating journey ever since. I'm not sure if I can take much more of this!

Bad magtrometer

I have the same problem with the magtrometer. We bought our house in September of 2012 and the appliances were builder supplied. No extended warranty but might as well treat as a consumable as the repair cost (parts & labor) will be close if not exceed the cost to replace. Lesson Learned...

Panel is difficult to read

this is a probably the best micro wave around it is very well made and is in a middle or the road price not cheap not to expensive but is designed very well and the inside is so pretty and is very easy to clean. This is a replacement for my last whirlpool that lasted only nine years and this one is 10 times nicer and designed so much better.
