Great kitchen Tool

I have owned the Fresh Saver for a couple of years now. It is great for storing cheese and vegetables in the refrigerator. I have also used it to freeze meats with. I have just ordered a Foodsaver though to use for freezing. I have had a fee problems with it staying vacuumed sealed. I would recommend this little machine though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great of items I use every day

The handheld system is great for items I use every day such as cheese, veggies, fruits, etc. I like that I can keep food fresh, while still having easy access when I need them (which could be several times a day). The larger system is great, but for items requiring daily use/access, the handheld system is the way to go.

Great little vacuum for the zip bags.

As I said it works great with the zip bag.lb and some small containers. I wish it came with a stand. The only one that comes with a stand was a red 1.I hope the offer them in other colors soon.

Great traveling companion

We use the handy sealer at home to store individual portions and left overs. We also use it on our annual Vacation to Hawaii to store our large food purchases from the Big Box stores. It is sometimes more convenient to use than the regular Food Saver. We have both and saved enormous amounts of money by buying in bulk and being able to vacuum seal like the orginal packaging.

keeps food fresh

i keep it on my counter with the specified bags and end up using it several times a day, keeping sliced cheese, sliced sandwich meat, deserts, salads, and other things that are going into the refrigerator instead of the freezer.

I use the resealable zip lock bags and keep my battery powered vac right on the drainboard while I am cooking. I can reseal what ever I am using and return it right away to the fridge. Onions, garlic, cheeses all stay fresher longer and that saves me money. Having diced or shredded much of these things ahead of time also saves me time.

the portable vacuum pump is great and easy to use, since we have a RV, no need to haul my big one around. Works great to put things in the freezer.
