I bought this, but was skeptical about it's ability to do the job since it was priced so reasonably. I froze pork chops, steaks, and chicken and it performed beautiful. Like that it can be stored in a drawer. It sucks ALL the air out of the bag!

Many Pro's, a few Con's for this product

I received this product from my Daughter for Christmas 2011. I use it almost every day to pack my lunch for work. So far the sealer has performed well. I was concerned about the bags, but they have held up well. I wash and reuse them weekly. The only negative things I can say about this system is that it took me a few times to get the bag sealing technique down and the bags can be a little difficult to seal for vacuuming. I've found that if I lay the bags flat and seal them using something other than my hands, like rubbing the butt end of the sealer itself over the seal then it does the trick.
I've read reviews about them having difficulty with freezing. I don't use them for that, only refrigeration. I use my countertop Food Saver and the original bags for freezing.
I've been a food saver customer for more years than I'd like to admit. I originally started vacuum sealing with a competitor's product, which left a lot to be desired.
So I switched to the Food Saver and have not looked back. My experience over all these years has been 99.5% positive. The only real issue I've had with food saver products is the round cannisters, I've had two crack on the bottom, but since I've used a lot of them and most continue to perform well, I guess I'm ahead of the game.
As a married man with family, the food saver products have saved me tons of money over the years. And now as a single man, it continues to do so.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The prouduct doesn't hold a charge.

I had bought this prouduct about a year ago and every time I go to use it I get one bag done and the battery is dead.I then have to put it back on the charger and it still does the same thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have two of them. We picnic a lot and I keep one in our picnic basket to seal any leftovers. Then I keep one at home with my large food saver that is always on my counter. Use them all the time. So easy and saves $$$.

This little beauty has come in so handy!!! I got it just in time for thanksgiving, and it made storing leftovers a breeze. I just wish it stood up on it's own. With the rounded bottom I can't stand it on the counter top to charge it, so it kind of gets in the way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good product for the time I had it.
But recently the pump no longer held a charge (pump sounded weak, as if the battery was almost dead), so the whole system is now useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
