I bought this vacuum sealing system to preserve my cheese blocks once opened. No more wasted cheeses due to them drying out or molding. My expensive cheeses are sealed air free and as fresh as the day they were first opened each time I reopen the sealed ziplock bag. I love that the bag is able to be resealed multiple times as I use, preserve and store my cheeses. I love it so much I had to get my dgtr one also!!

I have used the hand held vacuum system for several years. My original one quit after many years of reliability, so I replaced it with another one. This new one is even more powerful and quick at sucking the air out if the bags, leaving food intact and easy to store in the refrigerator. I don’t need a full size unit as I do not have a large family...if I did, I would not hesitate to purchase a full size unit because using a vacuum system to store food prolongs the life of the food and prevents the food from drying out or getting freezer burn. The return on investment is lovely! Thank you Food Saver for creating such an awesome product!

We read the reviews and thought some of the negativeness were maybe legit but we also thought that those may not know much about the real hows to use. We have used many of this brands products and have felt that their products are a great value and higher quality. It is used mostly with the zip-lock style of bags for day-in and day out use.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and it is great! I have vacuum sealed lunch meats in the zipper bags. In FL can’t leave a loaf of bread out on the counter because it would go stale fast especially with one person so I stacked bread slices in my tall container and vacuum sealed it. Stays as fresh as the day I bought it! I hate frozen or refrigerated bread! HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING A FRESHSAVER BREAD BOX! Also a pastry container!
