This is a great tool!
Some people reported trouble with the bags sealing... the bags must have been faulty. I have no trouble with this little handheld taking out the air in the bags.
You do have to seal the bag zipper completely.... often when something doesn't work, it's the user, not the tool !!

Product is not consistent

I purchased one of these and absolutely love it. Then I decided to purchase a second one for use at my cabin. Unfortunately the second one does not work as good as the first one and doesn't really give a good seal at all. I have tried both of them on the same thing and the first one is three times better in power and seal than the second one. Of course I threw away the box so can't even return it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Since I am single I wanted to stop buying frozen food or fast food. This product is great. I cook large amounts of healthy food then using the FoodSaver quart size vacuum zipper bags and the FreshSaver Handheld Vacuum System I freeze individual servings.
I liked it so much I purchased an additional one as a gift.

was skeptical about buying and trying this small compact unit for the storage bags but it changed our lives...we use it for all zip lock bags...smaller kitchen no room for a machine but with this unit you can buy the zip bags and still have all your steaks, chicken etc in the freezer in seconds and they last forever...great unit...great line of products, too bad i had to bee this old to become this smart....best item in the kitchen except for.....THE COOK

Bought this as a companion to my vacume sealer machine , great for use with the zip bags and containers that I access daily to prepare my work lunch.
Once the adapter is positioned correctly on the containers it works fine in acquiring a seal. The charge lasted me 2 weeks with dozens of uses.
It's handy and available making my foods saver products convienant for everyday use rather than running the heatseer machine.
My deli cold cuts lasted longer and tasted like the day they were purchased.

This has met my expectations, I love it! I use it to seal canning jars, I have borh of the wide mouth and regular jar sealers and this hand held vacuum sealer does a great job! You don't need extra tubing, just cover the hole with the sealer and press down on the button for a bit. Fresh vegies keep longer with this method (keep in fridge), as do other foods. Today I bought the food saver bags and can't wait to use them.

The hand held sealer is a must! I am always opening my bags and the containers so instead of getting my large machine out this makes it a snap, then saves on my large machine for the big sealing projects etc.
