I have had mind for a long time use it regiular. Just bought one for my daughter. Very handy for cheese and lunchmeat or just about anything you keep in the frig.

Does keep a charge

I charged the battery for an hour and it didn’t suck the air out of one of my mason jars. I exchanged it, the new one started doing the same thing after a week of using it. Terrible quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend charging the handheld for a whole 24 hours before the first use. To use the jar sealer, you would need a FoodSaver Vacuum System. Check them out by following the link below:

I bought mine many years ago so I could use it with my FS zipper bags. I just wish there was a way to use it on the containers. I keep popcorn in one of the large FS canisters. I have to lug out my big FS sealer just to reseal the canister. I tried adapting with the hose but it doesn't work well. It also doesn't hold a charge very well anymore so I keep it plugged in all of the time now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Its a fantastic product, easy to use, very handy. The only thing I dislike is they make a different shape for the machine, and that's milking the dog as far as I am concerned. My machine is too big for my counter so I keep it in a handy place in view in my kitchen having a portable one is very handy not only at home but on trips.it will go with us on our next cruise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't waste your $, 1st one I bought worked less than a month. My husband bought another despite my recommendation and the piece of junk stopped working in less than 2 weeks of purchase. Used only occasionally, no overuse, couldn't have even if I had wanted too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
