Not good

Purchased a hand held vacuum sealer And to my disappointment, it only holds vacuum for a few minutes. Air got in right away. I followers directions and even bought new zipped bags but still the same. I had to tape the area where you vacuum for it to work. Don’t purchase. Save up for the expensive ones.

Keeps dying! Not even a year old!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these little handheld sealers, one which I bought and one that i won! I've had them both under a year, will charge them for 3 days straight before I know that I am going to use them and I'm really lucky if I can get it to seal 2 1/2 bags! So sad, I really love this product and the idea of sealing and saving my food and making it last longer! I'm just now unsure as to putting more money into a bigger one more expensive one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Single household

My wife and I bought the counter top unit some 18 - 20 years ago and loved it. When she passed away there were still items I like to buy in bulk and break it down. This handheld unit is great for the single person or small household. I didn't need the larger countertop version so when I saw this I bought it and some bags. I love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Waste of money

I bought this because the description says it works with the Deli Containers. It does not seal them at all, the battery does not hold a charge even though I followed the directions, and the round bottom does not fit the oval seal on the the containers. I tried the "Live Chat" and got nowhere. I tried calling and waited over 45 minutes before I finally gave up, and am now awaiting an answer from the email I sent 2 - 3 days ago.A big disappointment because I love FoodSaver products.

It quit working after one use

I used it once to seal a bag for dried herbs. The second time I wanted it to use it to seal chicken and it stopped working. Its poorly constructed.

Won't work after 2 uses

Had used this product in the past. Loved it and used it for many seasons of fishing. Recently purchased a brand new one because my old one wore out. Used it to deal only two bags of fish. It now will not work. It's been fully charged etc. and nothing...... I expect a full replacement for free from customer service. I used to love this product! Now I'm not so sure...

Preserves food, wants replaceable battery.

This kitchen gadget works as advertised. It is especially useful for inhibiting mold on cheeses. The reusable bags supplied last for many uses. The batteries last about 9 or 10 months and then won't take a charge. We have gone through three units over the years, and it is really annoying to have to buy a new unit because of exhausted batteries. I have had one apart, and it would be easy enough to replace the battery pack, but unfortunately they are not available.
I would recommend this to a friend!
