Works better than I expected. Very happy with purchase. Takes up very little space on desk, and prints very quickly. Looks like I will save big time on ink.

Very Reliable!

Enjoying my printer and love the way it prints, especially double-sided. I really do like it and it's reliability. The only upgrade I'd like is the ability to print in color. Otherwise, love my brother 2300.

Does What It's Supposed to Do!

I purchased the Brother HL-L2300D because it seemed to be a basic, simple to use printer. It turns out that this printer is EXACTLY that which was advertised! Also, my partner has had his Brother HL-2140 over 15 years and it works as good as new.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great! Except when offline, which is 98% of time

This machine cannot stay connected to a WiFi network. I have a beast of a WiFi router and the printer is about 15 feet away. But it just goes to sleep and appears offline. The troubleshooting page has about 10 different solutions. You could spend a couple hours trying them or you may decide that life is short, recite a few choice expletives and do something more productive with your time. My phone stays connected to my wifi. Why can't this printer?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reliable & Simple

Such a simple machine. Where it may not print automatically over WiFi. Each time I plug it in to my computer it prints like clock work. Love it.

I bought my laser to print bunches of stuff from the internet to support my genealogy. I don't need a fancy printer for this work. This L2300D does the job very well. It also is economical to printing if you you are not interested in color or graphics. It's not wi-fi, wireless either. Which works for me. I am pleased with the performance and print quality.
