Workhorse of a printer

This is my 2nd one because I had the first one for 6 years and it never let me down. My first one didn't quit working until a dropped it the 3rd or 4th time while packing it for a move. It was such a workhorse that I never considered anything else when it was time for a new printer. It's an easy printer to use and maintain I don't need fancy colors or wireless, just a steady machine that won't give me problems. This model is still living up to those needs. This is perfect for my home office needs and doesn't take up a lot of space. This Brother has been my favorite out of all the machines I've owned in the past 13 years. I hope they never stop making it.

I will never buy another Brother product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One year of low to moderate use of this printer and the printer won't turn on. This is a problem well known to Brother about its printers as a Google search will show, but they don't seem to want to do anything about it. And when did it stop turning on? Right after the warranty expired! Within the month. Very convenient. I was supposed to get a call from Brother to help, but I did not. Awful experience and I will not repeat it and waste more money.

Good and inexpensive

An inexpensive basic no frills printer, and it does a good job for black and white printing. What is important is the ink isn't expensive. Many companies sell you printers near cost then make profit on ultra expensive ink. This printer is fairly priced and Ink for this printer is reasonable especially from secondary vendors.

A reliable, basic charmer, the Brother HL-L2300D not only is an ink-sipper, it prints solid black-and-white images/documents. I bought this model because it was highly reviewed by my two go-to tech websites and have not been disappointed. One helpful feature is the online support and emails when drivers need to be updated and other action is required. The website is OK but the outreach is excellent.

This is a perfect printer for someone like myself who does not do a lot of printing and does not need color prints. The text is sharp and the printing is fast. The set up was easy and quick.
