This toothbrush was for my son, he received it from the orthodontist in July '11 when he got his braces. We were very pleased with performance & ease of use. But approx. 2 months after having the toothbrush, the base of the toothbrush became unattached from the handle & wouldn't make contact for the batteries to work. I plan on buying another, but haven't as of yet.
This is my 2nd Sonicare tooth brush. I couldn't afford to replace the first one, too expensive. So I purchased the non-rechargeable model. The batteries seemed to wear out quickly or something was wrong with the unit. You replaced it and the new one is working fine so far. Thank you!

I have to replace the batteries once a week. It doesn't last long and is a hassle to change the batteries as often as I do. I don't use it anymore because I'm tired of going to the store for batteries. Get the rechargeable one instead. Great product besides the short life.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: short battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

we've got three of them with two generations of the sonicare, they all work seamlessly and flawless. The sense of cleanness is obvious and we've noticed the improvements of our teeth conditions. Love it, great products. Thanks.
This is my third Sonic Care product in about 10 years, and although the inductive charging station was cool, the fact that batteries were not replaceable meant I occasionally could not use the toothbrush. The charger was also not capable of handling other household voltages while traveling internationally. So the move to replaceable batteries means I can use my NiMh rechargeables, which last *much* longer than the built-in battery did in my previous models. Great product.
