I like the product, but I have to get a new one every 6 to 8 months because the battery cap latches (blue bottom) eventually breaks or the on/off switch stops working. I have now bought 4 units. Works well otherwise. Very slippery when wet.
Pros: does a good job cleaning
Cons: breaks too much, very slippery when wet

2nd one, quits due to cracks at base

Units stop working.
Being a mechanical engineer, I found an injection molding flaw, that lends the base of the handle to crack. This defect causes the base cap to stay loose so battery circuit becomes disrupted.
This is the second unit I've purchased that has had this issue.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Rest assured we’re here to help you. We suggest you try a few possible causes and solutions to see if you can fix the charging issue. Use only the Philips Sonicare toothbrush's original charger. It's possible that the charger that comes with your toothbrush won't work with another Philips Sonicare toothbrush. The toothbrush handle should be placed on the charging stand before the charging base. When charging has begun successfully, the toothbrush will beep twice and the lights will begin to glow upward. The battery indicator blinks white while charging. Your Philips Sonicare toothbrush will last 16 hours after a full charge. Once the battery is fully charged, the handle will glow white for 30 seconds before turning off. Try to connect a different appliance to the same outlet. If the appliance is also not functioning, there might be a problem with the outlet. If your Sonicare toothbrush won't fully charge in one outlet, try another. The interference from other chargers or metal surfaces could affect your charger. Make sure the charger is not situated next to another charger or on a metal surface. Retry by moving the charger to a different location.

Don't use it anymore because the off/on button does not work. I am tired of taking it apart every other day to determine if the batteries are connecting.

Purchased this product on 3 DEC 2012 and the power switch failed on 9 DEC 2012. It functioned for about 18 brushing cycles...so much for either quality control or quality design/production.
Cons: poorly designed and constructed.

I have been trying to get all the plaque in one brushing and i think this is it, my teeth really feel nice and clean and the plaque around the teeth disapear after each brushig, thanks so much

Have used this product for a month and after the initial tingling sensation wore off, I love this toothbrush. My teeth have never felt cleaner. My teeth feel as clean as they do after my semi annual Dentist visit.
