Not the best

I gave this toothbrush a low rating because of the fact that once turned on it doesn't stay on....I have to hold the button down in order to brush my teeth. This makes it very difficult to turn the toothbrush in different directions to adequately brush.
Cons: bush doesn't stay on
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not water proof.

Did not last long. Water got in with the batteries and then the rust happened. I cleaned it out. Put new batteries in. Put it in my suitcase for a trip, got home and it doesn't work. Will not buy another one!
Pros: like not having a charger
Cons: battery compartment is not water proof.

outstanding product for the cost

I have had this brush for years, and it still works great. It doesn't go through many batteries, and it cleans wonderfully. I would suggest this to anyone and am planning on getting everyone in my household one for Christmas.

This toothbrush does an excellent job and leaves my teeth feeling clean and my gums stimulated. The 2 minute timing tone keeps you honest, (altho I do prefer the 30 second cycle tone of the electric toothbrush, because that helps you make sure each area of your mouth has gotten its full attention).
Pros: light weight and portable
Cons: have to watch the clock to judge end of 2 minutes.

I really like the convenience of a battery powered unit -- no need to make space for the cord charger. Also, a battery powered unit will travel easily overseas -- no need for adapters. I am waiting to see how long the batteries last. A light indicating low battery power would be nice. Travel pack would be nice.
Pros: easy to take on international trip
Cons: there was no travel pack with this brush.

Good product

I purchased the battery operated Sonicare for travel. I used it for two weeks with satisfaction, then removed the batteries and stored it for three months. When I put the batteries back in, the device would not turn on. I tried fresh batteries, still no luck. I contacted Phillips and they sent a replacement and an envelope to return my defective product. I have started using the replacement just this week, and so far, so good. The battery operated Sonicare is in every way equal to my home Sonicare, and assuming this replacement is more reliable than my first one, I would recommend it.
