Had to return this model twice. It stopped working after two weeks. Loved the toothbrush, but would not recommend it because it simply stopped working. Had to upgrade to the more expensive model that has rechargeable battery.
Pros: felt like it cleaned beautifully.
Cons: stopped working after two weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your brush head is appropriately soft & well contoured (the double arc with the peak in the middle). But in spite of this, it can be quite irritating to adjacent gums & still miss cleaning some tooth surfaces. EVERY toothbrush I've tried misses some parts of my (or anyone's# teeth, and at the same time abuses some parts of the gums, contributing to receding gums. Depending on the stroke direction & contours of the brush, the bristle ends don't even touch some areas of the teeth. At the same time, some areas of the gums get over-brushed in the effort to reach the neglected areas of the teeth. The teeth have no sense of feeling & the gums are relatively insensitive, so it's hard to tell where to brush & how to angle it. I've found that getting the right yaw, pitch, and roll of the brush #like an airplane# are all essential to reaching all tooth surfaces, and avoiding certain gum surfaces. It would be helpful if you would: 1) Supply a comprehensive booklet discussing & illustrating these principles to your customers. 2) Provide a "volume control" to vary the intensity near sensitive areas. 3) Make the stroke a circular motion #which may be more effective in cleaning some areas even if the brush angle is not right). 4) Supply a toothpaste lacking the stinging flavors nearly every toothpaste has, which irritates soft tissues & contributes to receding gums.
Pros: does the best job of cleaning of any i've tried.
Cons: needs comprehensive brushing instruction.

My Dentist recommended the Sonicare toothbrush 6 months ago because I brush too hard, which was damaging my gums. I've been using it now for 6 months and I love it! I really like the timer that lets me know how long I should be brushing my teeth. My teeth feel super clean all day, plus I just had my 6 month dental appointment and my dental hygienist said my teeth looked great! I bought the less expensive HX3351 to see if I liked the product before I bought the more expensive model that has a base to recharge and a UV light for the brush head. Based on how good my teeth and gums feel and the results of my latest dental appointment, I'm going to purchase the more expensive model!
Pros: clean teeth and gums without damaging gums, ease of use, timer
Cons: battery operated goes through a lot of batteries
Very good product ... only complaint is should be "Made in USA"
Pros: everyone should own one
Cons: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

Toothbrush stopped working after 6 weeks of twice daily use. Started and then began to pulse off and on rapidly. Cleaned , dried and checked battery's connections. Never worked again. Would give it a poor performance rating.
