Xtreme Battery Sonic Toothbrush not reliable

I bought a Xtreme battery sonic toothbrush on the recommendation of my dentist. It was very easy to use and did a great job. However, after only 11 days it stopped working. I replaced the batteries and followed the procedures on web, but no luck.
I have called customer service and they are sending me a replacement tooth brush. Hopefully that brush will last longer than the first one. Perhaps my rating and recommendations will improve upon using the replacement toothbrush.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: very poor reliability
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has a great handle and soft brisstle to go around my gums. Since I have a gum problem so I chose by my dentist recomendation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this product for my daughter who has had issues with not brushing well and consequent cavities. THis has really helped and she enjoys using it.
Cons: watch for bristles falling out

Having a lot of trouble with on/off switch

Called customer service this morning to resolve this issue. Told me to clean battery area. Hope it works, otherwise, I'm sending this back.

Purchased two Brushes, same problem with both....

First brush worked well for about 2 days, but then would not stay on for 2 minutes, and eventually would not turn on at all (except for a slight buzzing in the brush head.....). Changed the batteries, this did not resolve the issue.
Second purchase....right out of the package, had a problem getting the unit to turn on. When it did turn on and I put the bristles to my teeth, it shut off within 30 seconds!
Attempted to use it a few more times, same thing happened. It would however stay on longer if I did not put the brush in my mouth...........LOL!!!
