This is a good toothbrush but the first I've had this type

I think there should be more speed options. I would like to ease into this type of toothbrush and have the ability to use something different for different areas in my mouth. My upper are more sensitive than lower and I can't compensate for that other than spend less time on that area.
I love Sonicare products and every member of my family has one. This model, however, would be perfect for my teenaged son if only it kept working! It's a great toothbrush, looks good, the non-rechargeable battery works for my youngest son, and the price is great. However, this is the second one that we have purchased and after a month or so, it simply dies and refuses to work any longer.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that a teenager is always in a rush and they don't adequately shake water off of it, then the water drips down and corrodes (spelling?) the connection points.
I still love Sonicare, just won't buy this particular model any more (even though my husband says "three times is a charm!"
Pros: looks & price
Cons: doesn't stay working
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The toothbrush works very well and is great for the price. I would have rather got the rechargable toothbrush like I had before but was not going to pay the price for the recharagable one. It does go through normal batteries pretty quick but since I have changed to rechargable batteries I have not gotten longer use out of the toothbrush.

Battery maybe Better than Rechargeable

I bought the battery operated toothbrush (where standard batteries are replaced) having owned two rechargeables in the past, each of which failed after a couple of years of use. I am optimistic that the replacement cost of disposable batteries will be less than the price difference between the battery operated and the rechargeable.
I've had a Sonic plug-in electric toothbrush for years and love it. I bought the battery operated brush because the only plug in my second bathroom is not near the sink. I also travel and love being able to bring my toothbrush with me.
Despite my concerns I have found the battery operated brush is very powerful and lasts for months on a set of batteries.
I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

it seems like its quicker to brush my teeth, because its doing most of the work for me
My children are located up and down the eastern seaboard, so I travel quite a bit to visit and help with their projects. I have an e-series Sonicare at home which I am very happy with, so when I saw this model while out shopping with my daughter, I decided to buy it for use during my travels. It was one of my better decisions and am very glad that I made it. When using a manual brush I often didn't spend as much time brushing as I should. With this brush, with both brushes, the procedure is timed to two minutes with automatic shut down, so my teeth get proper care.
