Good Working Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this ac unit about a month ago at the end of the season, we have had a very hot summer that seem to extent, I had one issue with the unit not working in fan only mode, that began work properly on its own hours later. It's a little noisy but cools my whole first floor area about 1,000 sq ft with no problem. This is only the first year, end of season that I had the unit so I have to say I'm pleased so far with performance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Heating part did not work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit at the end of summer last year, but did not actually install it until spring. The a/c works great but the heater does not work and the product warranty had expired before I found that out. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Remona, I regret to hear that your unhappy with your air conditioner. The supplement heating feature of your air conditioner is not meant as a primary source of heat. During the heat mode, your fan will run continuously while heat is needed. The temperature will automatically be maintained anywhere between 55 degrees Fahrenheit and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. A/C And CATS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this like model in spring 2011. It was getting hot early here in Georgia. This was a replacement for a older worn out unit. Three years later newer unit it wasn't cooling as it once did . Pulled unit out for cleaning the coils and BINGO , the condenser coil was blocked up with enough dang cat hair to assemble three Frankenstein type cats . Dang cat jumping from the porch onto the A/C unit licking himself clean pulling out his winter coat and it going right thru and into the sides of the A/C cage itself. Lots of grass clippings also from mowing the yard. Problem solved , i cleaned out unit , IT TOOK HOURS, I now turn off A/C when cutting grass and no more cat. I'm now having to purchase a new unit due to neglecting my duties of preventive maintenance . I'm staying with Frigidair . Going up from 25.000 BTU TO 28.000 BTU. R L
