Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this unit installed 8/18/16. Didn't fit into the same opening as my previously installed 11 yr. old Frigidaire, so had to pay for costly adjustments.Having had it in the wall during last winter, you have no idea how much air this unit lets blow into the house and because of the slanted inside cover, it's not easy to get a cover for it. I ended up taking a clear plastic and masking taping it onto the unit, but the wind even blew that open. And because you can't put the unit plug back into the front cover like my last one, you can't seal it completely. I hope Frigidaire addresses these problems. I had written a review last year stating these problems, but notice my review was removed this year!! The only good thing is that it does cool our home nicely.

Hello, Cool kid! We appreciate your feedback regarding your A/C during the winter months. It sounds like the Fresh Air vent may be open, allowing cold air to blow through. Please make sure that vent is closed. You can read more about this vent on page 10 of the following manual:

bad motor bearings

bought in oct 2017. ran one season in 2018 . turned it on feb 2019 after using it for one season just a few months out of warranty and the motor bearings are so loud you cant here yourself talk will have to replace unit bad deal

bad motor bearings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in July 2017 for a premium price but i thought i was buying a premium Air Conditioner that would last for years and at first it worked and cooled great but the next year it started getting louder than normal at times then would quite back to normal and i thought well maybe thats normal for such a big beast even through my wife had a different view but this year 2019 it started screeching very loud and i knew it had a problem so it being Saturday i had no choice but to replace it and being that it was now out of service and sitting on the floor i slid the unit out of the cabinet and sure enough the shaft on both sides of the motor has wobble.I do think this is a very good Air Conditioner but they seem to have got a hold of some motors with bearings that do not hold up.The book that came with it says i am covered under a 2 year limited warranty on any part that goes bad but the web site says 1 year limited warranty so i will be calling them Wednesday and see if they stand behind the product they sell.This premature bearing failure seems to be a common problem with this model and needs to be corrected across the board past present and future.

Great Replacement Wall Air Conditioner!

I purchased this air conditioner to replace a 30 year old one in my living room. It is 10" less in depth to my old one and much lighter. This one will be much more efficient and does a great job cooling my living room, dining room and kitchen area of my raised ranch home. We did have to enlarge the hole in the wall to accommodate the height of this unit by 2". We also have a smaller unit, also a Frigidaire, in the bedroom.
I would recommend this to a friend!
