[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 920xl as I thought my HP 6500 was out of ink, a usual thing to happen. When I installed a new black cartridge, it wouldn't print black. Clean heads three times. Still didn't print. So the HP6500, which worked for about 7 years, just didn't want to print black anymore for some reason. Colored printing still worked. I ended up buying new HP printer which uses 910 cartridges. I returned all 920 cartridges for a refund and am enjoying the new printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
I'm sorry that the cartridge you received does not seem to fit. That does sound disappointing!
There are some cartridges that will have the tab bent in slightly during shipping. You can gently bend the tab away from the ink cartridge, taking care not to move it more than a half an inch. That should allow it to snap into place successfully.

Prior to using the XL ink cartridges, I might run out in the middle of a manuscript. The XL cartridges serve my printing purposes and enable me to get the most out of my HP printer.
