Magenta ink cartridge would not work.

After attempting to install the magenta ink cartridge numerous times, I gave up and re-installed the old cartridge temporarily. The new cartridge seemed to install correctly, but the computer/printer said that there was a problem with the install of this particular magenta cartridge. I've already opened it ( obviously) and didn't know what to do but replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
