It was shipped in a flimsy package with 3 other cartridges. Black ink leaked everywhere. Had to clean it off.

It's time to buy another brand of printer. The HP printer cartridges have been very difficult to install in the printer. I have wasted money on sticking with this printer because of the trouble it is to install the cartridges.

A Clarification...

For all those purchasing 920XL color ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow), know that the dimensions of them are exactly the same as those of the regular 920 color ink cartridges. There is simply more ink in the cartridges!
I just wanted to post this clarification because the 920XL ink cartridge for black is physically bigger than the one for the regular 920 black. XL cartridges for cyan, magenta and yellow, however, have the same dimensions as those of the regular 920 ink cartridges but have more ink in them.
I did not know that initially and was hesitant to purchase them because I could see how my inkjet printer could accommodate a bigger black ink cartridge but not so for the other colors.

They say you get approx. 1200 sheets...I would say about 600 sheets. I am not sure it is worth to get the xl yet...I will see if the next refill is any better.

product makes clear color copies

Problem is this HP cartridge is advertised to print 700 color copies and I went through 3 sets of them and they only made 150 copies each or a total of 450. That is 450 copies I got from 3 sets of these cartridges that were advertised to print a total of 2100!

This review is based on the previous ink cartridges purchased for our HP printer. We did not obtain anywhere near the number of pages suggested in the literature. We bought this printer mainly because the ink was spec'ed as less expensive than what we were paying with a Dell printer. However, after going through 2 sets of color cartridges in less than 2 months, it appears as though the literature defining the number of pages a cartridge will print is signifcantly over rated. I have hopes that the current purchase will perform better but.....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
