It's been about two months and so far we're very happy with this washer. Our clothes are cleaner than they were after being washed in our previous front loader. The numerous wash/rinse (and detergent cup) options are useful and easy to navigate; and no matter what cycle you use this machine is very quiet and smooth. So far, so good!

I am so glad we bought this washer. It is so quiet, there are so many options available to fit the type of items being washed and the clothes come out almost dry. Did not realize how poorly my old washer was rinsing our clothes until I bought this one. The clothes are so much softer. The person installing the washer did mention that some people complain that the washer is a bit tough on "delicates" but that is easily remedied by adjusting the options and I've not had a problem. I just love this washer and would certainly recommend it to a friend (and already have).

It Doesn't Get Better Than This

We moved into our current home a year ago. The washer/dryer that came with the house was an undercounter European brand with insufficient capacity. We are a family of 4 and the machines seemed geared to an apartment rather than a house. Anyway, they worked so they stayed. A few weeks ago my two daughters returned from 7 weeks of sleepaway camp. Nothing is allowed in the house until it is washed. The 2nd day of doing laundry, the old washer died. Rather than fixing it we decided to get new machines of a suitable capacity for our family (and home).
After thoroughly researching a number of manufacturers and models, we decided on this washer and matching dryer. Last night confirmed that we had made the right choice, and that short of buying a machine that presses and folds your clothes, you can't do better at any price.
As I mentioned my daughters were at sleepaway camp. One of their white sheets was extremely dirty at the bottom from her feet. I'm talking greyish brown. My wife was reluctant to use chlorine bleach (she prefers the non-chlorine color booster stuff), but I convinced her this needed the real bleach. She said "we're going to have to wash it again so it doesn't smell like a swimming pool." Not only did the load smell fresh, with no trace of bleach, but the sheet came out white. I mean you can't tell which end was dirty. I was blown away. I wish I had taken a before and after picture.
I'm sure there are other excellent machines, but unless they are less expensive, save your money and buy this washer/dryer combo. WOW!

I have owned my washing machine for about one month. It cleans my clothing much better than my old model. I love the front load because it makes washing bed clothes easier.
One word of caution: When you buy your product, be sure to read all product information. You should use the little suction cups, that come with the washer information, with a wire attached to hold your washing machine door open. Also, remove the soap dispenser drawer after the completion of all laundry for the day. This will allow your machine to air dry and keep you from experiencing the "smelly washiner" syndrome! This will also keep your machine from mildewing. Please note, I live in a high humidity area and my top loading machine I used to own would also mildew if I didn't keep the lid open.

Versatile but Easy to Use

We are very pleased with this washer. The controls options are fantastic, but not difficult to understand. I love the signal noises! The spin cycle really gets the clothes very dry. I'm glad to see that this model is rated highly in several consumer reports/magazines.

Great Machine

We bought this machine in Aug 2010 and have been extremely pleased with it. We bought the matching dryer too. They are both quiet and efficient. The washing machine does a great job of keeping things balanced, very impressed with that! Best of all, we haven't lost any socks yet!!

This washer has met every expectation so far. The minimal water used and left after cycle has cut dryer time in half! It is quiet and vibration free. Clothes come out soft and clean with every use. The handy location and convenience of the detergent/softner tray is a pleasure. The 10 year warranty on the direct drive motor is a bonus. The finish chime is too soft to hear but not a serious issue since you set and forget after starting!

Replacing a Maytag!

I love my LG Washer and Dryer!! I love all the features, it's easy to use, and my clothes come out beautifully clean, even though I use a small amount of detergent. We have formed a bond, and a friendship that I am sure will last for many years!!
