Washer gunk on your clothes

At least 1 other reviewer has had the same experience. I've owned the machine over two years and have consistently had a problem with brown gunk buildup behind the drum and a horrible smell. I have to leave the door open whenever it's not in use. Every few weeks the gunk gets flushed out from behind the drum and stains our clothes. These stains don't come out easily. I use Affresh regularly and still have the smell and gunk problem. Every three months I have to remove the lifter assembly (3 of them) from inside the drum and soak them in bleach to clean out the gunk. I use no softener and very little detergent with each wash. I really regret buying this machine!

I love this washer

I had my first front loader a few years ago - a different brand - and had to leave it behind when I moved. I thought THAT washer was the best ever, but this one has it beat. It sounds silly, but I especially love the little "songs" that it sings to me when it starts and finishes. The wash has been consistently clean - even very large loads and a comforter - and because they come out so "dry" to the touch after the spin cycle, they dry in no time at all. Wash times average an hour or so, which I don't mind because they are so clean when done and dry quickly. For this price, you can't beat this washer.

This is by far the best investment I have ever made. I have had LG phones in the past, but have never tried an appliance. I am officially hooked to LG. The quality and value can't be beat. 10 year warranty on the motor tells me that they expect this product to last and last. Thanks LG!

Great machine

We bought this machine as replacement for a top loading machine. The water saving a lone is a big plus. We are hoping the direct dive is also going to be a plus (ten year warranty on the motor) . Very quiet on the spin cycle. Only had to rebalance the load twice not sure what happened there. We also bought the DLE2050W dryer at the same time. No problems with either yet we have had them about 6 weeks.

Loved this washer, until...

Bought the washer about 2 years ago and loved it until last week. Around the time the display says I have 16 minutes left, the washer stops and gives am error code of 1E, I push the start button and it continues, but takes about 30-40 minutes to finish. I've lost the manual, hope LG gets me a new one quickly,

Too limited - loss of features

Some of the very basics of a mother washing the kids clothes are gone. I can't soak clothes to get out stains. I can't do a quick rinse or spin. There is a rinse/spin cycle for 21 minutes but when I am wanting to rinse the kids uniform at 10p at night i can't quickly do so. I long for a spin only cycle!!!!! I'm not old fashion, just want some of the basics that should come with new technology. Didn't you have any mother's test your product???

Purchased an LG washer and dryer, love them. The washer uses so little water compared to a standard washer and the clothes come out really clean. I would recommend washing towels separately to avoid an unbalanced state.

I love it's capacity. I can wash large loads and thoroughly wash, so that my whites acheive brightness.
