second floor vibration

Our washer is on the second floor. It vibrates considerably....my research indicates that this is not unusual...I tried putting pads under the legs, but this really made no difference...I have spent alot of time trying to adjust the leveling legs...consumers report say that this washer is one of the better ones in terms of reduced vibration, so I am assuming this is as good as it gets....but still am not pleased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine!!

I've had this washer about 2 weeks and have really given it a workout. I do notice the smell I have read reviews about and it was there the first time I opened the door. I think it must be the rubber seal and hope that it will fade with time. Other than the odor it is a great washer. I like being able to select different options.

I LOVE this washer!!!

I am so pleased with this washing machine. It needs so little detergent, and it does such a geat job cleaning our clothes. I was really skeptical when I first used it when I saw how little water it uses but unless something is REALLY dirty I dont even use pretreaters any more. It uses so little water I can even run it while someone is in the shower and you can't even tell its running! Also it is quiet and it spins so well that the clothes seem almost dry when they come out of the machine. I just cant say enough nice things about it!
Pros: Performance, Quality

You don't hear a sound out of this washer. The clothes comes out clean and doesn't use near as much water as my old "traditional" washer. Would absolutely recommend them! Still trying to figure out all the features. Priced around before I purchased and found them at a really reasonable price. Love it!
Pros: Performance, easy to use, quiet

We have had this machine for about a week, and we love it. It has nice functions that are plain and simple to use.
It is quiet and the warranty on the motor is nice!
I would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable front loading machine!

Excellent washer!!!

I love this washer! It replaced a 20 year old top-loader of another brand. The best thing is how spun dry things come out. At first I noticed some things were still dirty; this was easily adjusted by using some of the other features- like using pre-wash, or changing the soil level or even adding an extra rinse (I often do this w/ bedding/ towels)-- or some combination of these. Not a problem, just getting to know the machine. Talk about versatility for household use!! I washed the couch throw pillows on delicate cycle (with an embroidered pillow safety pinned snuggly inside a bed pillowcase to protect the stitching). They were still a little damper than I wanted, so I ran them on a separate drain/spin cycle on high (can't spin on high on delicate setting- but can do it separately), and they were great!! Dried quickly in the dryer, they're nice and fluffy and smell great. When I tried washing throw pillows in my old washer, at least one would come out with loosened seams. This was perfect, even the embroidery! I can't wait to see if there's a difference on my water bill. And I can't tell about the electric bill yet as we started running the central air when we got the machine at the beginning of the season. As for noise, it's quieter than our old machine and it's only curtained off in the pantry in our kitchen. No moldy smell if you follow the directions, and wipe the door & gasket leave it partly open. I'm going to get one of the child-safety latches (?for ovens) to use to keep it only a couple inches open vs. our current jury-rigged system. I didn't see the point in spending hundreds extra for steam features when I can add vinegar and run it hot if necessary to sanitize. (ps, add a few drops of citus-based essential oil to your jug of vinegar to get rid of the vinegar smell.) I didn't rate the quality because I dont' know yet, it's not that old, but I remember liking the materials/ construction when I was researching.

One minor complaint

Love the machine! I've owned it about one month and have had no problems until it was time to clean the intake filter. It is very difficult to reach and impossible to see because the machine is so deep. Four inches of clearance behind the machine doesn't leave enough room for two hands and a pair of pliers. I wish we could move the filter to the hose at the spigot connection.
