Love the LG Washer

So far am I crazy about my washer. It is easy to use and the clothes come out very clean with no soapy residue. I really like the front loading aspect; it makes it so much easier to load and unload. Thanks LG for an outstanding product. Can't wait for my dryer to go so I can get the matching dryer!!

Great machine

I purchased this washer and a matching dryer two months ago. I was a bit hesitant after doing some research and finding a lot of people had trouble with odor. Following my salesmans tips to wipe down the door gasket and leave the door open after each wash works. I also leave open the compartment door where you add soap and bleach. I found that water collects here after a wash and also wipe down the holders. I use HD detergent which is more expensive, but I find that instead of filling the cup to max as I did with my old washer, I follow the directions and probably end up using less detergent and not really spending more overall. I have never had an odor problem. The washer does a great job, and washes quickly. The balancing feature should be explained on the front page of instructions in bold type. After you press the start button, the drum will rotate and stop a few times to balance before it starts to wash. the machine uses so little water compared to my old top loader that at first I wondered if any water was really getting in.
The only issue I have is that the musical jingle played to signal the wash is down sounds just like the jingle the local icecream truck uses as it drives down my srteet. I highly reccommend this washer.

If you could love a washing machine, this would be it! Read all the reviews on this and it was absolutely worth it. It uses so little water, is so quiet and does a great job.

Clothes are Practically Dry

I purchased this washer in January 2010. I am amazed how clean it gets my family's clothes - even grass stains and red clay. I am more surprised how dry the clothes are after the spin cycle. This washer was definitely a good purchase.

Great washer and dryer for the money

I bought the washer and matching electric dryer. Both are awesome. Clothes are cleaner than before and laundry goes much quicker in general. It will take my king size comforter with no issues, although the dryer doesn't always get it totally dry on the first try. They both are pretty low to the ground, so if you don't want to kneel down while switching laundry, get the pedestals. They do everything they're supposed to very well. I haven't seen much in terms of water savings but that's because we've been doing more laundry quicker than before.

I have had this washer almost 7 months now, along with the matching dryer. It is easy to use once you learn the instructions. The clothes come out smelling fresh and clean, and it can handle huge quilts and blankets, something I could never do before. As for water savings, I'm not really sure about that for two reasons: doing more of the heavy stuff I never washed before and our water rates went up right after we bought.
One key thing to remember with any front loading washer is to wipe it down after each use, drain the water and clear the lint filter regularly (easy to access on the front bottom) and run the clean cycle with bleach once a month to avoid mold buildup. I've not had any mold on my machine because I follow the instructions on this. All in all, though, a nice machine, and I get lots of laundry done really fast.

Best Washing Machine in the World

Quiet, efficient, uses very little detergent, gets clothes really clean even in our horrible well water . . . ant it's fun to watch and listen to. (love the little tune it plays when it's done!)
