Excellent machine at a great price

I had to replace a front-loading HE washer that was only 10 years old when it became too expensive to repair. This machine is so quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning laundry and eliminating a lot of moisture from the load once it is complete. Has a ton of features to customize settings. A great value for a great price. My only negative observation would be that the machine is actually deeper (front to back) by about 2 inches than the assembled depth indicated at the store due to the dial and the bulging, bubble shape of the door. We had to move our closet doors forward to accomodate the machine.

Cons: is larger than measurements indicate

I actually bought this washer for my parents as a gift - our first front loader ever. Heard great things about it and got good ratings from consumer reports. Overall, my mom loves it. My only complaint is that the wash time automatically sets for ~ 1 hour, which seems a little long. However you can pick the quick wash which is about 30 minutes long. Overall, a good washer.

Cons: long wash time

Best price out of all top-rated HE washers. Was the #2 recommended washer by consumer reports. Went to hhgregg who matched the lowest price of other stores and then added a ten percent discount for us finding a lower price. The "soiled clothes" option works great on the dirty baby and mechanic clothes clothes. But as always, I still have to pre-treat to guarantee that the stains will be gone. I love that it shows how many minutes it has left per load...takes the guesswork out.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, price
Cons: no sanitation setting

Can't be beat

After 18 years our old washer died - this was after remodeling the laundry room. After researching on the web and with friends who recently replaced their washers and dryers - we decided on LG. We sure made the right choice. Delivery was made in 1.5 days. The installation was quick and the learning curve was nonexistent. We can't believe how easy this unit is to operate and how quickly and quietly it washes clothes. Taking a lead from a competitive commercial, I placed a glass of wine on the washer during the spin cycle - no ripples. The true balance works like a champ. To say we are pleased with both this washer and its companion dryer is a gross understatement. My wife actually likes doing wash again. I get a kick out of it too. The value for the price paid is also superb. We are happhy campers...or should I say "washers".

The very best machine I have ever come accross period, i may never look at a different brand of appliance ever again because they got this one so perfectly designed that my 10 yr old daughter can use it ( she loves to help out her dad ). Its' such an easy to use product.. This is value way beyond just the money saved on utilitiy bills and cost of the machine . Way to go LG !!!

Well worth the investment

My wife and I did quite a bit of research before we made the purchase of our LG WM2050C Front Load Washer. Consumer Reports rated it a best buy and I'm glad we waited. The washer is very easy to use and all the issues with the door hinges and standing water (leading to mildew) have been resolved, and it cleans clothes to boot!
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings
Cons: just to be safe i dry the door and rubber insert

Purchased this unit mainly for its larger wash size.
Really helps save water and electricity if you are on a well pump.
It can be a little loud at times but it is still not as noisy as other units.
Pros: Features/Settings
Cons: longer wash times
