I must have the bad one

I usally don't purchased extended warranties, but I better on this washer. I like it except for the vibration. At times (even a load of 3 jeans) it acts like it wants to jump off the pedestal. Sometimes I have to use a low speed on the spin cycle because it bounces around so much even on medium size loads. This causes increased drying times.
Pros: Features/Settings, Style/Design, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the first front load washer we've purchased. We bought it because of all the great reviews it got on the store website and because it was a great price for what you get. We've been very happy with this model. So far no problems what so ever.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

This machine is great for the price, and generally does a good job. I was a little disappointed that it is not quite as gentle on clothes as our previous washer, which was a top-loading HE which gently jiggled the clothes in slightly more water rather than tumbling them against each other in almost no water as this machine does, but the LG was also 1/2 the price of that washer, is reportedly more reliable, and does seem to use a little less water. We get a better result with any kind of load if it's smaller. On our old machine, the loads were always clean and gently handled no matter the size of the load and we were spoiled by this. I am super picky about laundry though! This washer has many of the features/options that are found on more expensive machines, and some good additional options such as the "water plus" feature which uses extra water for those loads that might need it, but unfortunately locks you out of some options on some cycles, which is frustrating to a laundry control freak like me (for example, you can not use hot water or "water plus" on some cycles). Most people probably would not be bothered by this, I guess :-) but some loads just need more/hotter water for a good result, esp. with kids, and if things don't get clean and need to be run through again, where's the water savings? I do like how you can pause the cycle to unlock the door and add an item to the load. Like most energy-efficient appliances, the cycles are very long, but this is generally not a problem. Also -- you really do not need to spin any faster than medium, everything gets super dry. The faster spin speeds seem to be excessive and rough on the fabrics. There is no internal water heater like on our previous machine, so the temperatures will be what comes out of your plumbing, but this is generally ok. Love the little song that it sings at the end of the cycle. So, great machine for the price but with some compromises.

Love washer and matching dryer.
Have experienced some "shaking" during some portions of rinse and spin cycles. Shaking last 5 to 6 seconds, then eases as tub speed accelerates. Use of SPINSENSE feature eased or eliminated the shaking during some wash loads.
Floor integrity not an issue.
Pros: Features/Settings, Quality, Style/Design
