Exceeds expectation

Bought this when my old warm air humidifier crumped. It is very sleek looking. Performs as advertised. On my model year I have NO PROBLEM with the screen brightness; push a button and screen lights up for adjusting settings, fades to black in about 10 seconds afterwards. Easy operation without annoying wicks/filters/bacterial solutions. I LOVE the hot/cool mist option. The low fan setting has a tolerable noise level; the high is a bit more noisy (a touch rattle-ish). This product is more noisy than the space heater I bought, but it is tolerable for the great performance it gives. We have placed it in our upstairs foyer and we feel it humidifies MORE surface area than we expected; our room, kids rooms, from this central location.

Dumb design

I have had this for years and just had to replace it, not because it stopped working but because it developed an annoying hum. It's an excellent product but for one thing that I can't believe they haven't changed. The top of the water holding tank is slanted so when you want to fill it, it won't stand on it's top. It leans over so you have to try to hold it upright on an edge with one hand while filling it with water with the other. I can't believe it got out of the design phase with this poor design. I finally bought a plastic file box to hold it somewhat upright so I could use two hands for the filling part. Yet I bought another one. Go figure.

Simple product with great impact

The humidifier made my whole house much more comfortable. The humidity level was increased and kept consistent over time. My family really enjoyed the filling method with the cap. It prevented a lot of spillage that we had experienced with other humidifiers.

White dust machine

I just spent an hour cleaning my humidifier unit with vinegar, following this up with disinfection with bleach. I also installed a new mineral cartridge in my unit. It is two hours after I hit reset and started up my newly cleaned, disinfected unit with the required new filter only to find my entire condo looks like I am using a fog machine. I am angry and frustrated. This is why I cleaned, disinfected and put in a new mineral filtration cartridge. I am so tired of products that don't do what they say they are supposed to do. I DO NOT recommend buying one of these and I am contemplating returning mine.
Pros: NONE
Cons: Difficult to Fill, Hard To Clean, Heavy / Bulky, Loud, Too Much White Dust

Did you soak the mineral cartridge for 24 hours before using it in the humidifier? This is needed to activate the beads inside. Not doing this can cause a lot of minerals in the mist. Please call 1-800-234-0604 for assistance.

White Dust

I like everything about this product except for one critical problem. I would assume all Ultrasonic type humidifiers suffer from the same issue as well. When it vibrates the water for some odd reason it outputs white dust all over the place. Maybe it has to do with the minerals in the water being blown all over but it was horrible. I even used filtered water and and the same issue.

We really wanted to love this humidifier. It has some great features but when you walk past it you feel ice cold air like the air conditioner was on in the room. I had it on the warm setting and was expecting a warm mist as it states. It made the room very cold which would be great in the summer but not in the winter. Returned it.

When soaking the mineral cartridge in a separate bowl, is it normal for small black/fine powder to leak out of the mineral cartridge and sit at the bottom of the bowl?

Easy Breathing

I acquired this humidifier last year and it really helped me get through another Chicago winter. I keep it in the bedroom and as soon as I turn it on it changes the air and makes it so much easier to breathe! I swear it was the first time I did not get sick and I swear this product had something to do with it because my over all breathing, moisture retention of my skin, and even my sleep improved. So much so that I even use it in the summer! The water tank is easy to refill and seems to last longer than my old humidifier. I haven't replaced the filter but plan on doing so soon. I also like the different setting options. Overall, great product!
