DON'T BUY ONE. THEY DON'T LAST!!!

I would like to briefly say that I have completly 100% had enough of your dog #$%^ label printers. We are lucky to get 6 months out of them before it will start flashing and wont work. We use all dymo labels. We try all the trouble shooting everytime and its clear the dog #$%^ sensors you use in these things just can't handle the work. I've got 2 stuffed ones sitting in the cuboard. I will never ever buy another one of these machines. I thought the new model would be better but it has the exact same issue. The support is terrible can never get onto anyone and all the support offers is #$%^ we have done 10 times. The sensors been cleaned, and all troubleshooting followed which works on a monthly basis but sooner or later it just completly craps itself. I'll be writing the same review on every website I can that's listing your crap printers. I hope your company goes broke, your printers are crap, your paper is over priced and your service and support is crap. Rant over! have a nice day. P.S stick your profanity filter up your .....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wastes labels when putting a new roll in.

The rolls of labels should include 3-5 extra ones. Every time I change it, the printer has issues and wastes multiple labels.

Won't print selected labels, except in workspace

To print all addresses from your address book, follow these steps:
1. Click on "Label" and choose the label type and layout.
2. Click on "Address" and remove "click here to enter address" by backspacing.
3. Click on "Address Book" and select the address book you want to print from.
4. Select the addresses listed on the left side.
5. Once selected, you can then proceed to print them.

450 Label Writer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 450 Label Writer is an excellent printer and is time saving for printing address labels, badges and file folders labels. The 450 Label Writer is very compact (5"x7 1/2") takes up very little space and fits nicely on a desk. The 450 Label Writer does not require ink or toner, which is great, as you don't have to worry about running out of ink or toner in the middle of a project and prints approximately fifty labels per minute therefore saving time and money.
Can use software to create labels, badges, etc. for Microsoft Word, Excel, Quick Books, and Outlooks. All labels are clear when you use the 450 Label Writer.

Good for routine office environments.

Tried to use in industrial clean room environment but labels smudge/fade/discolor if alcohol or other liquids are applied. Only pre-cut paper labels of specific sizes are available. I could not register online because site would not accept serial number no matter how I entered it. It would help product selection if Dymo would show examples of printing capabilities rather than one line simple text labels. This printer can do multiple lines of text with addressable fields and multiple formats in addition to adding graphics and art. It is black print only. It would seem good for ordinary office environments where thin paper labels are all that is required.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use
Cons: Fades, Smudges

I use this label maker daily at work. I use it to label all my blood specimens I collect before sending to the lab. The only thing I would like is the printer to print color too so I can easily lable the correct color tube.
Pros: Durable Labels, Crisp Printing
Cons: color would be nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to write this review because this label maker has become a must have in my work routine. I prepare multiple mailings every day and this label maker has make the process so much easier! I use a Mac for my work and this was very easy to install once I located the software online. The software is very user friendly. Labels are very easy to load. They print clear, fast, and are always straight! You also never need to add any kind of ink cartridge to this label maker, just labels! It never needs ink or toner! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who prepares mailings on a regular basis!
I would recommend this to a friend!
