Worked Great until...

This printer worked great until they updated the software and it is no longer compatible. Their answer? Buy the 'new' printer thats twice the price and will only work with expensive labels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The LabelWriter 450 is compatible with Windows 7 and up, as well as Mac 10.9 and up operating systems. Both the DYMO Label Software and DYMO Connect Software are available to download on our website free of charge. When using DYMO Connect Software, you will need to click on the New button and from there, you will be able to change the label type to match with the ones inserted inside your printer. We would be very happy to assist you in resolving any issues with our products. Great Product!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a label writer for so many reasons. My crafting supplies, things boxed up that I constantly have to dig through looking for something no longer a problem! I can even make my own address labels! I find new uses constantly every day. I love this product!!!!

Windows 10 still fails

I work in IT support and have had Dymo's that I've had to re-install multiple times for users. Usually it's trying to use the wrong driver, so the software isn't detecting it anymore. I assume the driver screws up during Windows 10 updates but it's still ridiculous that Dymo drivers don't seem to be interact with Windows 10 well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i have got Dymo Label writer 450 online struggling to print - i install software numerous times but no result to get one print i have to restart my entire system- awful

DYMO LabelWriter 450 upgrade for windows 10

I had windows 7 for work, then I was upgraded to windows 10. With that I also received a newer version of DYMO LabelWriter. The new layout for the DYMO LabelWriter 450 looks clean and up to date. But that is all that is good about it. The software is supposed to be simple, fast, and easy to use, but It's functuality has gotten worst. Now there are multiple clicks to make one or more labels. It is slower even for just 1 label. No double click action to highlight anymore. Now I have to Highlight everything. It doesn't keep my font or the size of the label from the previous day either. I know these are little things to complain about. But if you had software that was easy to use, smart, and fast... Why would you change for garbage. I believe Dymo just wasted money for no reason. And now your customers has to suffer.

Please, navigate to “support” -> “downloads: software, drivers & user guides”. Scroll this webpage to the bottom, from the “product type” dropdown list choose “Software”. The older software that is compatible with Windows 10 will be DYMO Label Software v.8.7.3, Windows. However, it is advised to use new software in the future to get all the required updates from DYMO. Not compatible with windows 2010

I absolutely LOVED my label maker prior to the windows 2010 upgrade at my library. Now my DYMO LabelWriter450 is NOT user friendly and a pain in the neck to use. Please please make this compatible with Windows 2010. It would make my work day soooo much easier. Thank you

DYMO FIX THIS MACHINE

We have had this device for several years and everytime there's an update, the label printer goes haywire. There are constantly issues with printing blank labels, misaligned labels, smudged labels, etc. Oh and if you try to use the 'Help' it leads to a page that doesn't exist. Useless!! So much time and labels have been wasted trying to figure out this machine

We recommend you clean the print head and roller by feeding a business card with alcohol on it in order to stop the excessive feeding that was the cause of the issue. Additionally, we recommend cleaning the printer sensors. Visit Dymo. com > Support > Dymo Help Center > LabelWriter > How to clean my Dymo printer for advanced instructions.
Furthermore, the use of generic labels can cause this issue which is why we recommend using DYMO authentic labels as they reduce issues such as misaligned printing, excessive feeding, and label jams. We also guarantee that our labels will provide you with the best user experience.

Printing From ACCESS

Got 450 to print labels 2-5/16x4" form MSAccess. After getting the bugs out of the access program Labels print great. With Access you have to remove your header and footer on your report page so that the printer doesn't print more than one label at a time.
I would recommend this to a friend!
