I work in a medical clinic and the label maker is vital to the flow of the clinic. I have been here a year and we have been through 3 label makers!!! Yes 3! I am NOT impressed with this product at all. It is constantly getting stuck, it has a mind of its own and when it goes down, my entire day is ruined because now my clinic is running behind. I would not recommend this product anyone.

Bought this ticket printer to accompany my total operational system for opening a new store. Printer jams tickets EVERY TIME we start a new project. Such a frustrating waste of time.

I apologize that you have experienced issues printing with your LabelWriter 450. Based on what you have described I would recommend feeding a cleaning card (or business card saturated with rubbing alcohol) through your printer about 5-6 times. This will remove any adhesive they may be leftover from your first label jam. If you do not clean it after a jam the leftover adhesive will likely cause jams in the future. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday- Friday 8am- 6pm EST.

Prints Labels well, but ink fades....

I love this label maker. It is fast and efficient! I use it to label the books and media that I catalog in my library. However, the ink fades rather quickly (what a pain for labeling the spines of books), and I feel that Dymo could do a much better job of using a higher quality ink that does not fade, especially for professional use. I am now searching for a new label maker that prints labels that do not fade.

Thank you for contacting us through our feedback website. We apologize that you are not completely satisfied with your LabelWriter 450. We have noted your difficulty with labels fading. The following conditions may cause labels to darken or the text to fade: exposure to direct sunlight or fluorescent light for an extended period of time, exposure to high temperatures for an extended period of time, contact with PVC film or vinyl containing plastic. If you are using a plastic sticker or covering over the label I believe that may be the cause the the label fading. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday- Friday 8am- 6pm EST as we will be happy to find a solution for you. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you will continue to use our products.
This little machine works perfectly for printing small or large quantities of labels and multiple size labels. Easy to change out labels too.

Hi Kristina, Monika from DYMO Consumer Care. Thank you providing us feedback for our DYMO LabelWriter 450. I am very sorry that our product has not met your expectations. LabelWriter 450 may keep jamming if there is some glue residue left on the roller. To resolve the issue you should clean it. To do it, please unplug the printer from the computer (the USB connection) while leaving the power cord attached. Pull up the lid and remove the labels, take off the front cover from the printer, be gentle while doing this. Moisten both sides of a business card with pure alcohol. Please notice that the business card should be rigid to be properly transported by the roller. Insert the business card the same way you usually insert labels and run this card through the machine up to 10 times. If the machine is dirty, you will see the dirt transfer to the card. Repeat until clean, using another if necessary. Place the front cover back on the printer. There are 4 connectors that need to click when you put on the front cover: 2 hooks at the bottom and 2 notches at the top of the front cover. You should hear a small click when you have attached the front back on and it’s secure. Reconnect the printer to the computer and try to print a label.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm EST as we will be happy to assist you. Cannot Print in Cold Climates

Due to the pandemic, our office moved to a tent outside and we have found the Dymo 450 Turbo will not print labels at temps below 30 degrees. I think this is because of the device's thermal technology but do you have any suggestion how to print labels. Do I need a different label now that I am outside? Thank you.
