We have been using LabelWriters for 10 years and they just keep working. I have added more than I have replaced.

Help

I am a court reporter using this four exhibit labels. Have heard many good reviews about the product. It installed easy but it is constantly jamming and the labels get stuck to the roller. I really want to use this product but need advice on proper care/use. It's not use use to me if it gets jammed in the middle of a job. I definitely can't rely on it as is. Any help would be appreciated.

I apologize that you have experienced issues printing with your LabelWriter 450. Based on what you have described I would recommend feeding a cleaning card (or business card saturated with rubbing alcohol) through your printer about 5-6 times. This will remove any adhesive they may be leftover from your first label jam. If you do not clean it after a jam the leftover adhesive will likely cause jams in the future. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday- Friday 8am- 6pm EST.
the machine itself does what it is supposed to. We have had difficulty sharing the software with networked computers within the office so not everyone can enjoy all the features.

We use it to print medical labels for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles. We have several. They work great and last a long time. I would highly recommend them.

Can I print Priority labels on this? Or do I need to look at a different one?
Response from Dymo.comBy Dymo, Dymo, May 22, 2017
Thank you for contacting us regarding your LabelWriter 450. This printer can print labels up to 2 5/16" wide. If you need to print the 4" x 6" shipping labels you will need the LabelWriter 4XL. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday- Friday 8am- 6pm EST as we will be happy to assist you. We appreciate your business and hope that you will continue to use Dymo products.
You must have the printer connected to use the software - so I cant create lists while I'm on the road for printing later. Too restrictive for me.

Hello AB Tech, this is Steph from Dymo. I have read your review and would love to give you a tip. Yes, you are completely right in saying that typically you are unable to access the software, unless a Dymo printer is connected. There is a way around this. Depending on the operating system that you are using. You can create a "dummy" printer manually that will allow you access to the software. . If you have any questions regarding how to do this, please do not hesitate to give our technical support team a call at 877-724-8324 Monday- Friday 8am- 6pm EST as we will be happy to find a solution for you. We appreciate your feedback and hope that you will continue to use our products.
