Died after 14 months....

Purchased this as an upgrade in our new house. The microwave was a bit smaller than we were used to, and the oven performance was so-so. After 14 months, the microwave died. Went to heat up a slice of pizza, pressed the 1 minute auto timer button, heard a crackle and the unit went dark. No inside light, power, clock or anything. Just a useless door stop at this point. Tried to use the oven and when I opened the door, the light went out at that moment too. Perhaps a coincidence, but I doubt it, have had poor luck with the "upgraded" GE appliances we put in the house so far......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Although it's not the best looking double oven, I love the features and ease of use. The only negative thing that happened was that the oven bulb went out within the first 2 months of use. However, when I called GE they quickly shipped me a new bulb. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase.

Microwave broke in my GE cooking center 1 year, 2 months after I moved into my new home. True disappointment.

The microwave oven almost put our house on fire. After I close the door clear the operation, the microwave continued to work and broke the round glass.

I would not recommend GE appliances to anyone. This microwave has been going through control boards every 6 months. JUNK!!!!! no wonder it is discontinued.

Constantly replacing parts...Don't buy GE combos

Poor design causes microwave sensors and boards to constantly fail. With a combo, you are forced to gamble on getting nickle and dimed fixing it, or getting hit with buying an entire new unit.
