Great Burners. Solid Construction.

For the most part I've been happy with this stove. I cook a lot and I appreciate the different burner sizes. However, the over has had issues with the igniter. Changing the igniter is a real challenge. Wires were not long enough to reconnect new igniter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loud fan; self-clean glitch

Have had this range for 2 years. It looks great, works well however the when the oven fan comes on, it is extremely loud and for the price of this range it should not be that loud. Have read where this is normal. Also, the thermal safety switch shuts down the oven during the self-cleaning cycle about 20 minutes into it and it takes a while for it to reset and restore power. Have not been able to run a complete self-clean cycle because of this and it's an unusable feature. The GE repair technician said it's a design flaw and no way to permanently fix it. If not for these two issues, I'd rate 5 stars.

Love it ! just one minor thing...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced my old range dating back to 1971...and found my new GE a wonderful upgrade to the 21st century!
Oven is easy to program, bakes/roasts, etc well. I'm impressed w the digital controls - for example, easy to preheat - set the oven temp and the then it beeps when it's ready.
Cooktop - the cast iron add a nice look & burners heat nicely. My only beef is that each burner is a diff size & located on diff parts of the stove so it's difficult to see where to place your pan, and can be challenging to work w a pot that's cooking on a burner that's unreachable to the one in the front.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sharp looking oven!

This oven looks great in our new kitchen. Everyone comments how nice it looks. The oven works great according to my wife, who baked a lot of cookies at Christmas-time. The large burner boils water in no time at all. Our old one would take at least 10 minutes. The only negative thing that I can see is that the cooktop is hard to keep from scratching. We noticed a couple of scratches on it , possibly from contractor who put backsplash tile. We are not sure. Tried to hit one small spot with scothbrite......now it looks worse. I guess you just have to be super careful, which I thought we were but you can see several little scratches and it is only a couple months old.
I would recommend this to a friend!
