Best cooktop ever

This cook top replaced an electric flat cooktop and we couldn't be more pleased. The heat is very fast and cools down quickly as well. You would have to be trying pretty hard to burn something with the adjustable heat working so quickly. Cleanup is a breeze without any nobs in the way.

Wonderful cooktop!!!!

I splurged and bought this Electrolux cooktop a month ago for our new house build. After much research on every induction cooktop out there I couldn't live without this. It does everything and more then I expected. My 3 year old who loves cooking can now cook with me without burning himself due to there feature of only heating up the pot and nothing around it. And only identifies a maganetic pot and not his hand when turning it on. he loves that water heated up and boils so fast so he can start cooking noodles right away and doesn't have to wait. It is truly beautiful when I turn it on and looks stunning in my kitchen. Everyone complements on it and how futuristic it looks and I couldn't be happier with how it cooks and performs. Never has and in even cooking spots, easy to use, easy to clean, freatures are fantastic. Thank you Electrolux for making my new kitchen the best kitchen ever. Advice to others: don't buy gas or electric they don't cook as good or as fast as a induction. And don't bother looking at others. This is the one to buy. Make the investment you will be happy you did. I've used gas and electric for years and will never go back to them.

Absolute Control

This will make anyone a true believer in induction technology! Other than the safety features, the primary amazing issue is the precision control of the pan's heat. I am not trying to play down the speed with which the cooktop will boil water but I can't say enough that it is the controllability that amazed both my wife and I. This product is a must have for for anyone considering remodeling or new construction.

Fast Cooking

This cook top is beautiful and does a nice job with fast cooking and instant off much like a gas stove. The controls are very hard to see however and takes a bit of getting used to. They are almost invisible at certain angles. They are not easy to operate as one might hope. Still I am enjoying this cook top. Likely I would choose one next time that I could see where to touch for the controls. Your finger has to be exactly on the right spot and again, you cannot see the spot easily. Additionally, this cook top scratched about the first week I had it. I have owned several different glass cook tops for about 25 years and this is the first one ever to scratch. Not sure if it is more susceptible or what but it now has a scratch on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cooking is similar to gas. We have been using for a month and love it. The only reason for a 4 is that it hard to see the lines on the cooktop.

I'm very pleased with the performance of my cooktop. The speed is fantastic and the response to control change is, too. Efficient, so even when using multiple burners, I don't feel as though I'm over a hot stovetop. Easy to clean as food does not burn if splattered. Only concern was that my first model died suddenly after a year of use. Electrolux was unable to repair, so replaced with a new, complete unit. Hopefully, a one time problem. Also wish other color options were available as black does show lint and smudges easily. Would also have liked ability to change settings connected to a timer.

We Love our Kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We Love the clean looks and lines with no knobs and touch on and off features. The best part, however, is its cooking ability. So fast and accurate its amazing. We are experiencing one thing that we cannot define. It will make LOUD cracking noise every once in a while. It sounds as if the whole glass top just cracked? Not sure what is going on but we hope that stops, soon and is not causing damage, or you will here from us soon.
