Don't bother

I have the original Shine and cannot WAIT until I can get an update. The phone shuts off on it's own when I close it, the battery life is a joke, it scratches easily and the commands can get pretty complicated. I"ve been in cell phone HE double toothpicks many times. I got it so I could watch TV on it.....yeah....if you like it REAL SLOW!!!!!
Cons: battery life, durability, small keys, volume level

I liked my Shine!

I have the original LG Shine and I loved the phone. It was dropped a couple of times by my son and was never damaged. The reason why I am getting a new phone now is because it DID randomly shut off on its own frequently, even with a full battery. The battery life was not very good. My overall opinion was that it is a good phone. I am not overly- techy so I didn't need a fancy phone, it did what I needed it to do and I got comments on it a lot for it's appearance. I had the black one. I now have to get a new one and they are sending me an LG Neon. I am a bit wary because I don't like new phones. If I find one I like I usually stick with it. I am hoping that the positive reviews on that phone are true- we shall see! Either way the network is great at AT&T so I won't go anywhere else!

Cons: battery life, software bugs

Okay, the phone itself looks cool, but I wish since it is a slide up, that it can have a QWERTY Keyboard like the Propel. It is just like any ordinary phone, that happens to Shine.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable, ease of use
Cons: battery life, freezes, small keys, volume level

i have the original LG shine and it has held up pretty well in the past 2 years. I have dropped the phone numerous times and the screen hasnt scratched or cracked and the phone still works. i would like to get the LG shine 2; but i want it in a different color than silver.
Pros: durable, menus
Cons: battery life, small keys

Decent Phone

I only had the first generation, but the second only has few minor differences. It's good for basic uses, but texting is little difficult and takes getting use to with the small flat keys. I eventually got use to it and don't really mind it. The second might be little easier.
Personally I thought the battery life was decent, the sound quality is great but not real loud. It has started to shut it's self off which is annoying.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable
Cons: freezes, small keys, volume level

OK i have had this phone for a year and it has been very good! the mirror is awesome! Even though it scratches alot! And its VERY slow!!! I also love the joystick on it...its fun!!
Pros: battery life, ease of use, games, menus, speaker

This phone is one of the worst phones i have ever had. The battery life last less than a day and the phone shuts off by itself. HORRIBLE for texting and horrible internet. Very UNSATISFIED!!!!

battery life unacceptable

I use my phone to make calls - period. I charged it in the afternoon and the next morning it was down a bar (3 is full). I received one call (10 minutes) and that was the entire extent of my use in that day. This is totally unacceptable and it doesn't matter what the other ratings are.
