I had to replace my shine 3 times. No water damage, and I never dropped it. The buttons are obnoxiously loud when you press them. The phone randomly shuts off. The bluetooth never worked from the day I bought the phone. I'm very disappointed. The menus are okay... once you get used to them.
Pros: speaker, tools, pretty
Cons: battery life, freezes, camera quality, bluetooth, glitches
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This phone was amazing! i had it for almost two years until it bbroke. :( I set it down on my friends table adn when i went to pick it up, the screen was cracked in half! no one touched it or anything! but it was very durable and i would recommend this phone to anyone who didnt want a full keypad.
Cons: limited memory, small keys, volume level, randomly freezes after 1 3/4 of a contract

I loved this phone, however I just got burglarized and I am now trying out the LG Incite, however I did love this phone, get the cover for the phone (on a different site), watch out for fingerprints, they get all over the phone (which is why I bought the clear case), however the "mirror" is hard to keep clean. I miss this phone!!! I did upgrade and hope I like it!
Pros: camera/video quality, ease of use, menus, speaker
Well just a few months ago i got this phone. I didn't realize there were touch screens though... Even though the camera, durability, and ease of use was fine, the battery life is pretty short (to me.) Plus the keys are pretty small. Today I found out that there was a green stain in all of my screens, can't get it out. Then while i was texting a friend she started sending 2-4 messages! But she swears she didn't send that many. It started about 5ish months after I got it and never had the chance to get a new one, ect.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable, ease of use
Cons: battery life, small keys
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the first generation Lg Shine. I've had it for a little more than a year and and hopelessly waiting for my two year update. I drop my phone very often and it is very durable. Some cons are the battery life, when I unlock the screen it will be opened to the internet, and the screen scratches easily. Also, they keys are really small and it is hard to type a number correctly. The phone is good in the way of it being simple and easy to use. If some one wanted a simple, easy to use phone, I would reccomend the new Lg Shine.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable, ease of use
Cons: battery life, bulky/heavy, small keys, texting
