This phone was no difference from the first, so it stayed with the same faults. Though it is easy and durable. It doesnt make up for the other problems. Such as battery life and small buttons.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable, ease of use
Cons: battery life, limited memory, small keys, volume level
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this phone has a pretty good overall rating.
it's features are ok.
One of the things i do not like is that it's battery life is horribel. i have to charge it every night:/
but it does take REALLY good pictures. i use it as my regular camera b/c i can uplaod them to facebook.:) overall i say it is worth it:D

A very nice looking phone and I like the steel construction, but the battery life is poor. The mirror finish scratches easily, and forget about using this on a sunny day. the sun reflects off the display and it is totally impossible to read.
Cons: battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lg phones that i have owned have good reception where i live when other phones have done poorly. Its a good for some one who needs just a basic phone
Pros: camera/video quality, durable
Cons: battery life, poor navigation, small keys

Nice but one thing to note

I have the original shine and although this may have been fixed (I doubt it) its something to note. I had one shine phone, broke it but kept it, and bought another one. I just pulled out the one I broke and the screen is 10x's more reflective than the one Ive used for a year or so. The reflective surface wears away! Who would have thought? Anyways...I like the phone. Its decent, works just fine, battery is fine, no glitches. I would recommend it, but just know that the shine wearing away is possible.

I usually get a new phone every six months, but this phone is so great i haven't even thought of getting a new phone. love using the camera and how it rotates. very durable!! I have dropped it on cement many, many times and still works great!!! yep never broke anything on it.
Pros: camera/video quality, durable, ease of use, good for texting, menus, tools
Cons: can not lock in texts

Just from having the first LG Shine makes me want to warn customers to not get this phone! The first LG is very bad. You will get scratches not only on the screen but everywhere else and is ten times more visible on this phone than any other phone because of the mirrored screen! The first one freezes up all the time, shuts off at random times, and my joystick will not work anymore! The buttons will come off! You are not allowed to select one of your personal ringtones for the text message ringtone. Its very easy to use because there isn't much to it at all! Avoid the LG Shines!

I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone who is planning on having it for a long time, you know, like their entire contract.
I've had the original for over a year and it's falling apart. I can't upgrade until September 2010. The phone shuts off by itself sometimes. My vibrate has stopped working, and the joystick doesn't work anymore, which is horrible because it's nearly impossible to do anything without it. It wasn't the easiest phone to text on, and the memory for the text messages is horrible too.
Battery life is nearly laughable.
