front loader washer electrolux

we had 2 service guys come over to find out why the washer makes banging noise when it is spinning or rinsing with any load big, small or medium. nobody found anything wrong but the noise is loud banging not the quite washer which was promised by sales men in HHGreg.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best washer in this price category

After very bad experiences with HE top loaders, I switched to this front loader Electrolux. It is the best decision I ever made. While I can feel vibrations from neighbors' machines in my apartment complex, my Electrolux is so quiet I initially checked several times to make sure it was running. This machine is incredibly quiet and does not cause vibration, not even on a 3rd floor apartment! Contrary to the new HE machines, this washer still uses enough water to get your laundry wet, while being highly efficient, and NEVER gets 'out of balance', like the hated new HE top loaders. Love the light inside, great on a pedestal, very convenient. The added 'steam' does not do much in my opinion. The 'standard' function is quick and only useful for lightly soiled clothes. However, the "heavy duty" leaves my clothes clean and fresh, and well rinsed. Just leave the door open for a day or so after washing, and you will never get the feared mold smell. Highly recommended.

Great washer

Compare to other washers this one is way better, designed well, works as promised, except the water stringency, which is due, in my opinion, by manufacturers being rewarded by not using too much water, which is problem cause in order to wash clothes you need two things, water and detergent, but this washer adds more water to the rinse cycle and lets me add water without any problems to the wash cycle, except I have to be there.

Love my purchase!

I purchased this washer about 2 months ago, and have been very pleased with my decision. The salesman was very influential with my purchase (I was not sure I wanted a front load washer due to others reviews of smell, etc.) However, I was explained that the drum in this washer is tilted which helps with the drainage of excess water after the cycle is over, and also the rubber ring is scented to help with any smell. I have had no issues with stale or mildew odor. I am very happy with the variety of setting on the washer and feel it thoroughly cleans my clothes. Would recommend to other buyers!

large, quiet, lots of features

We are so happy with our selection of the Electrolux washer and dryer. They are living up to thier reputation. I didn't think I would use all of the different settings or the steam option, but I find I adjust for each load based on what is in it. And the fact that it does not vibrate upstairs even on max spin is great!
