In Love With My Washer

I have been very pleased with my Electrolux 4.2 Cu Ft Front Load Washer. It is so quite I can not tell that it is running unless I am standing in front of it. Even the spin cycle is not annoying. I purchased the pedestal and really enjoy not having to bend over to get my wash out. I have used the deep clean sanitize setting several times with my towels because they are sometimes used to soak up water spilled on bathroom floors. I really like this setting however it does take a long cycle time. I have been very pleased with the cleaning of my clothes and the fact that most of the water is spun out leaving the clothes barely damp which cuts down on my drying time. Most of the time I use the short cycle to wash which takes only 18 minutes. None of my family work at jobs that get their clothes soiled. The normal cycle takes about 50 minutes. The washer is very easy to use and the variety of wash cycles available is amazing. I like the convenience of being able to put in my soap, bleach and fabric softener in all the same time. I love the light in the washer so I can see easily any clothes I might have missed transferring to my dryer. The dials are easy to read and everything is readily identified. I like the compactness of the unit. I was worried it might not fit under my cabinets with the pedestal but I had one inch to spare. The only think I would like different is a louder alarm to notify me when the cycle is complete.

Wife is happy, so am I

We got this machine because of the 2-story guarantee that it would not walk. We do not have a 2-story home but our previous machine, a Kenmore, wanted to dance all over the floor. We were quite leery in purchasing a new front loader but this seemed to fit the bill with the guarantee and all. From the moment it was installed until now, one year later, it has not moved in our laundry room and has made my wife very happy, and in turn has made me happy too. Our previous machine also sounded like a 747 was coming through our home as the laundry room would just shake the room during the spin cycle. She also likes the chimes alerting her to when the wash/spin cycle is complete. My wife loves many of the features and is quite satisfied with how clean the clothes are now. Apparently our other machine did not do a very good job. Clean clothes and a shake-free home, what else could on want.
However, there are two small issues with the machine, the door does not close as easily as we think it should and the door mostly stays open in the full-open position rather than ajar to help dry out the machine in between uses. At times it takes my wife several attempts to close the door so it latches properly. It could just be her. Other than that my wife is a happy camper which makes my life so much easier.

Does EVERY THING!

There is a cycle for every purpose, but the absolute best is the "sanitize" cycle. It cleans the "Idon'tknowwhat" out of my sixteen year-old's smelly clothes. I don't have to throw away his clothes because of the stink anymore. This and the minimal amount of water it uses is saving me TONS of money. I lovelovelove my new washer.

Exectrolux Is The Best

My Electrolux purchased in 2010 was in perfect condition when my home suffered a lightening strike. I waited about one second before purchasing my new Electrolux which is a 2016 model with the same features as my 2010 had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the set. Pods do not seem to work well they get trapped in the seal of washer. Platform drawers are great for the storage and raising appliances for ease of loading and unloading.

We recently purchsed the Electrolux Frontload IQ-Touch with perfect steam set and wow what a difference technology makes. We are on a metered water bill system in our town and it usually runs close to $100.00 per month. Now after this purchase our bill is down to $72.00!!!!! Even better the convenience of the fontloaders with the pedestals help with the loading and unloading of clothes which now even my husband will help do the laundry. In my opinion this was an excellent choice and would highly recommend this set to everyone.
The only problem we have had so far is the rubber seal on the washer had to be replaced due to the door not releasing properly and we were experiencing rubber shavings in the tub after all washes. Unfortunately, the new seal didn't solve this problem and we are going to have to see a repairman again. We purchased this product 11/24/10 but the place of sale has been helpful with this problem.

Good overall

Our family of four with two toddlers keeps this washer working several times a week. I like being able to modify so many of the features of the wash - from length of spinning, to how dirty the clothes are (in addition to the traditional temps and number of washes and rinses). My husband uses the hottest setting on his scrubs. I also appreciate being able to set some favorites for those loads we're doing all the time. I wash cloth diapers, which does take two full wash cycles (one without detergent followed by one with detergent) to get the diapers smelling decent. From what I've read, that's pretty standard for cloth diapers in a front-loader. So far (Jul-Jan), no gross residue buildup or smell in the machine from washing poopy diapers once a week. I figure that speaks to how well the washer gets rid of the waste from the load. In general, we're pretty satisfied with our washer.

great washer

I use my washer and dryer at least 15 times a week. I love this set the loads can be large or small. the clothes come out clean and I love the steam option with the dryer too. it works to freshen things up or to remove hair ( I have a blonde cat) . I like the wash temperature options and the length of the cycles.
