Hooray! More energy!

This light helped a lot more than I thought it would. I live in sunny Arizona so there is always plenty of sunlight even when the seasons change so I didn’t think that any sort of lighting would have an affect on my seasonal depression but I was pleasantly surprised. I started using this light every evening when I got home from work. I would place the light on my coffee table and turn it on for about twenty minutes while I would talk about my day with my husband. I started to notice after a few days that I had more energy and could make it through my day without hitting a wall halfway through the day. I’ve actually already recommended it to a friend who said she already uses something similar. I’m sad it took me this long to find out about it. The only downfall I would say is that the battery doesn’t last more that a few days but that’s likely because I keep it on the brightest setting.

So Far So Good

I received this light for free in exchange for my review. Nice small size so fits easily if you stroll about with your laptop as I do. Nice long cord - also essential to portability. It says it's rechargeable and you don't need to plug it in if it's charged, but I haven't tried that yet to see how long the battery lasts. Set up and charging simple (3-4 hours for the first charge) and nothing else to put together other than plugging the cord in to the light. Adjustable back flap that acts as a stand which so far seems to work to adjust to where you want it to go. The light is blue and very bright. I just used it for the 1/2 hour recommended. So far I don't necessarily notice an energy difference, but I've been gardening the last two weeks so maybe I'm getting enough sun. The instructions give timing options for what you want out of the light. Seems good so far. Booklet says 2 year warranty. Like my laptop, it says the battery is not replaceable - once battery is dead you must use the cord. That's annoying, but overall so far so good. I'm only giving it four starts because I don't know how it will work in the long run. If it works once I've used it longer, then I'd give it a 5.

Cons: no replaceable battery

Love Phillips products

I have a Phillips cpap machine. It works wonders for my sleep and I feel better rested. I don't have a light yet, but certainly am interested in finding out if it would help our winter blues. We live in the high plains of Wyoming and the severity of the weather keeps us indoors most of the time. The growing season is short (3 months) and thus the "outdoor" season is short too. We have sunlight colored lights in our home to try to help too. My wife suffers more than I from the winter moods so I really hope this light helps her. I will update this review after I have more experience with the unit. Thank you Phillips!

Good for relaxing mood

I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review - overall, i have enjoyed the product and have used it every day. I love the color of the blue light and the adjustable intensities are convenient for when you want a more subtle glow vs. brightening the room. The size is compact which comes in handy for a dorm room desk, and the charging cord is pretty long so you can keep it plugged in all the time if you want. Since I got the product in the summer when it's still nice outside versus winter weather, I couldn't tell any kind of mood or energy difference, but I will say that the color of the light gives a very relaxing vibe.

This product is good if you are able to be active througout day

I received a free sample of Philips Energy Light to review. It came assembled and ready to go. I tried it for several days in a row. I did feel a little more energy than usual, but not as much as I was hoping for. I liked how i felt while using it and for about an hour afterwards, but then I felt the energy to start to fade. I did notice if I was just working at my desk all day, that is when the energy started to fade. On days where I was able to move around a little more, the energy did stay a bit longer. I would recommend this for people as long as they are able to be somewhat active throughout the day, sitting at a desk all day, the energy isn`t as strong.

Great product

Upon receiving my free sample of the Philips energy light, I feel that it`s very useful. I have read before about blue light being therapeutic. This is a great product. I`m going to recommend this for my Mother. Patients in hospitals would benefit from this too and parts of the country with long winters too.

Brings that smile back!

This is what the doctor ordered for my winter blue type days! The light does get you that extra energy sometimes needed to get you in the spirit of thing or just get you off the couch in my case. Its small enough to use almost anywhere and I have had no reactions to the light but seems to make me feel better. I was asked to try this as a free sample for a review but it is honestly an awesome help!

Light helped with my energy level in the afternoon

This light has helped me on days I feel I have low energy or when it is cloudy. I received this energy light as a free sample to use for this review. This light is a nice size that can fit in my purse or bag for travel. It is well made and durable. I started using it on the lowest setting first. It did give me a bit of a headache when I began using it, so I started for 10 min and a time and worked up to about 30 and the headache dissipated after a few uses. I have noticed some enhancement in energy level with continued use. I have not noticed any change in mood, but this was not an issue for me. The instructional booklet was very helpful and work the read, it helped me to decide when was the best time for me to use the light. I am a morning person, but lack energy in the afternoon, therefore I use the light after lunch to give me a boost. The light charges quickly or works while plugged in and I appreciate the timer feature provided by the small bars that illuminate at the bottom. Note that the light is unable to charge unless the stand is opened. Overall I have enjoyed trying this product and will continue to use it.
Pros: small size for travel, increased energy, timer
Cons: headache after first few uses
